Overpriced and Underqualified 7/20/2011

Horrible! I took my puppy there and the doctor...dr.dennigan I think...told me he had a dream about my dog the night before (keep in mind he has NEVER met me or my puppy before) and called my dog his "spiritual avatar" Then they tried to sell me all these ridiculous things that a puppy doesnt necessarily need but they implied that he did. Also, I compared their costs of products to online and other vets and they are close to double everywhere else. Then a year later I needed his nails cut and my groomer was closed so I thought I'd give this place one more chance with a different doctor from VCA TURCO. I thought a vet would be an ideal place because it doesnt seem like a difficult procedure. They took my dog "downstairs" and wouldn't let me watch them do it. Tried to charge me fifteen dollars! and when they brought him up to me his foot was bleeding! I made them give me a refund and told them to shred any documents or information they had on my dog because I will NEVER be coming back th more

Excellent 12/23/2010

I have been bringing my pets to Turco Animal Hospital for years! I love this place- they are open seven days, the staff is friendly, caring and competent. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family. more

TOO EXPENSIVE 9/15/2010

I feel the vets at Turco are caring doctors. However, the prices have gotten to be outrageous ever since they became a VCA hospital. Also, at times they will ask to run a large battery of tests some of which seem unnecessary. The estimate was about 400 dollars to spay my cat! I cringe everytime the bill comes. more

This Practice Follows the Law 12/19/2008

In regards to the comments below, this isn't a fair review of VCA Turco Animal Hospital. The person is a non-client who was looking to purchase canine Revolution for multiple cats. It is illegal for any veterinary hospital to sell perscription medication to non-clients. The hospital is not a pharmacy. Even if the client had a written prescription from another veterinarian, it is against the law for the hospital to sell the medication because the hospital does not have a client-patient-relationship with this person. more

Total Lack of Help or Caring 11/8/2008

I went to Turco to get Revolution flea medicine for my cats. Since I am not a current customer I was denied this important treatment for my cats. I explained that my current vet had taken her own life (a true - very sad story) and she was the only vet that I could find to make house-calls (we care for 9 adult cats). I have never met a staff I disliked more. more

Dr. Turco is great! 10/19/2007

I have 2 dogs who have gone to Dr. Turco for years. He is wonderful with them, and is very compasionate. He provides excellent care. His staff is also excellent and very caring. They always take special care of the animals and are just great.\r \r I more

Turco Animal Hospital is a very very good place for animals!!! 8/14/2006

I am only doing this because I read the first review, that was totally uncalled for. Dr.Turco probably recommended a vet that specializes in ferrets. That does not mean he is not a good vet.He and his staff are very professional and nice to deal with. This is probably the only review I will ever make, but the earlier one was totally uncalled for. PROS: Very nice and skilled staff CONS: None more

i dont like this business cause i took my ferret there a long time and he told me i would have to send him to providence. he wouldnt even look at him or do anything. PROS: too many people are unhappy with turco CONS: more
