RIch really went the extra mile to determine what was wrong with my unit and kept at it\r until he found the problem. HE ALso provided excellent customer service and was very\r personable and above all honest...what a rarity these days. I hope he will always be our\r technician . He also was gracious enough to negotiate a special deal on our behalf with\r the owner of the company , which was amazing! THank you Mike for having. a heart.\r and for caring about the welfare of your customers. And while we would like to have\r RIch be our technician forever, I know he is sure to be promoted upward within your\r company so that his talents can be maximized. WE can only hope that his successor\r will behalf as terrific! THanks again Universal and you have a customer for life in our\r family. God. bless. more

When my air conditioner died I called Universal Heat and Air and got the lowest estimate in town by a long shot. The work was done in a courteous and professional manner with no problems. I had my mom replace her ac with a Rheem from Universal and we are both happy customers. more

Universal Air and Heat was a new company to me. They showed up when they said they would, which was a good start, and in came Will Cash. He was extremely thorough and answered all questions. Will was very professional even after he explained what needed to be done the fourth time to the fourth person in the house!! We all had questions but he was patient and understanding. Fair /good price. Came when they said, did what they said, stayed till the job was done. Chris the head installer was polite, and helpful. Job done is as good or better than original. I have recommended them to 2 other people in my neighborhood more

Great, thorough, service. Jason showed up around 4 pm for some duct cleaning in our newly purchased home. Showed me some other desperately needed work ( coil cleaning etc). Coils were covered in a thick slime as the previous owners never used a filter. Gave me a bunch of options from immediate things that I could do, to having the unit replaced instead of a costly cleaning. It felt good to have some options. He did a great job with the ducts, helped me out with a few other issues around the house that would affect our ac, and unclogged the dryer duct. Great guy. Super friendly. Very satisfied. more

I owe Universal Air an apology. I jumped the gun lodging complaints as my system still had the same problem and they had not returned to complete their inspection test. They have now returned and satisfactorily completed our agreement and my system is working fine. Michael their manager in Tampa was polite and very helpful. Steve and Rich the technicians were also polite and worked professionally until 8:00 at night to get the job done. I apologize, have withdrawn my complaint and regret drawing any adverse attention toward them. I would now recommend this company. more

The technician called when the office said he would and showed up on time. He was professional and did an inspection of my system before recommending additional services. I would reccommend their services. more

I take back every word I said on March 16, 2013. Unreliable, unprofessional, have been waiting 4 consecutive weekends for them to come and fix the floor and door frame they burned and to bring the air filter I bought and was measured wrong. Not even a courtesy phone call to tell me they are not coming. Alex, the manager or supervisor, does not return phone calls when he promises to call you back. No one there knows what they are doing or saying. I should have followed my instincts when I read the bad reviews and not contact them but decided to give then the benefit of the doubt. They will still have to hear from me but I know it will give me lots of headaches as they lack customer service after they get your money. more

I had a great experience with universal air and heat the guy came out on time and did a great job and the price was not bad at all, there are allot of company that say one thing and then do another but I will say this one stands apart from the rest and ill continue to use them and recommend there services. more

He was very informative as it related to different products and services that would help to ensure that the quality of the air in my home was the very best it could be. I'm happy with the service I received today from Stacy & Joey. They were extremely professional, well-spoken and informative. I did not feel like they were trying to deceive me into thinking I needed more services than were required, which I must admit, is always a fear I have when I call in companies like Universal. They were pleasant as well and I believe the job they did will make a huge difference to the air quality in my home. I will make sure to write their names down and keep Universal's number handy for the next time I need air conditioning service. more

Very proffesional company from the inital phone call through the completion of the job. The tech was on time and took the utmost care by using shoe covers when entering my house and cleaning up when he was done. I would highly recommend them. more

Very happy!!!! \r I called Universal Air & Heat today because my heater wasn't coming on and they sent someone out within 2hours, it was emergency charge but not bad for a sunday 99.00 to come out when everyone else I called was 175.00. I thought it was was going to be expensive but the guy was just amazing and honest aperiently the other company that I use to install new unit never hooked up the heat cable wires, he connected the cables and my heat was working and barley charged me extra :) thanks Jonas your the best. more

I spoke with Joey, the manager you spoke to yesterday, in regards to this matter. As she previously stated in regards to the price difference, you were charged $150.00 for the location we serviced on 01/31/2013 since the dryer vent goes to the roof in your residential home. The $69.00 price is for commercial locations that exit the side of your business location. Commercial locations that exit to the side are normally priced at $89.00, however since you previously used Universal Air & Heat and we appreciate repeat customers, we lowered the price to $69.00 for the location we serviced on 02/06/2013. It appears that because you're in the dog grooming business and washing towels with lots of dog hair it will created an excessive amount of lint in your dryer duct And if the first service did not completely clean the duct we would gladly come out and reclean the duct at no charge to you. \r \r \r \r Universal Air and Heat came out and performed dryer vent cleanings on both of your locations, and they both came with a 30-day warranty. Universal Air and Heat would have gladly sent a technician back to re-perform the dryer vent cleanings on both your home and business locations if you were not satisfied. This was advised to you by a customer service representative when you called in on 02/11/2013. \r \r \r \r Any additional lint that was possibly found in your dryer vents could be from your dog grooming business, which is known to cause a significant buildup a lot quicker than normal dryer use.\r \r \r \r We are well aware that there are other air conditioning companies out there, some of whom might charge you more than Universal Air & Heat for service, some whom might charge less for service. I cannot speak for them, or their practices, nor are we in the business of disparaging any other companies.\r \r \r \r We appreciate that you chose Universal Air & Heat for your dryer vent service. We have been in business over 15 years, and take pride in our work, so insinuating that we employ con artists or that we are looking to rip customers off is completely fallacious.\r \r \r \r We will provide you a complimentary dryer vent cleaning at both locations we recently serviced, that can be provided by a different technician If you would like. This information has been noted on your account and you can speak with any customer service representative when you are ready to redeem the complimentary cleanings. Terrible.....I paid to have my clothes dryer vents cleaned they charged me more than double than advertised and believe it or not did not clean anything. I am still in shock..the service men they have are con artist rip offs. more
