Macy's Herald Square has one of the best women's lingerie departments going. The selection is vast, and you're bound to find something that actually fits. However, their staff couldn't be any less charming. I got gruffly scolded by an attendant for attempting to use a fitting room that was being used for storing garment racks (makes so much sense, considering the long lines to try stuff on!). What ever happened to customer service?? Meanwhile, I wish the rest of the store had as much going for it as the lingerie dept. The juniors dept. has a pretty sad selection and the music is so loud that it drives you out of the place! Macy's is an institution, but history alone doesn't encourage repeat business. I won't be going back any time soon. more

The 50%, 60% and 75% discounts are great but the sales representatives are VERY RUDE especially on the first floor PERSCRIPTIVES counter, First floor/middle section counter for LANCOME and the 9th floor FURNITURE section. how is one suppost to enjoy the shopping experience if the sales reps are RUDE, STUCK-UP, ABNOXIOUS and COMPLETLT INCOMPETENT? Pros: good deals, good selection Cons: Rude representatives, no parking, too messy more

Arghhhhhhhhhhh. . . too many people. Just going in there to use the bathroom takes a half hour. Jammed packed with clothes, people, staff and an overwhelming sense of it's own importance. But it is Macy's, a New York landmark. So I'll just have to put up with it. more
