Best

This place has amazing food and a wonderful prix fixe menu for early diners. Be warned, there are a lot of children in the restaurant (not exactly the place for a romantic dinner).

AWFUL 3/23/2008

It was just awful. We felt so sorry for these guys. The place was empty. The waiter was sweet, but oh my God, it was bad. It's like a hippie kid and his friends decided because their friends like their cooking, they'd ask Mom and Dad for seed money and open up a restaurant. Pros: Nice waiter Cons: Everything else more

Disaster! 10/15/2007

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat in the East Village. It was fun, spicy, Cajun Italian food. I am from Louisiana, and it was like having a little bit of home, with an Italian flair. However, it has recently become a vegetarian restaurant, even though it still serves the pizza. I went there with my mother, who was made to feel guilty by the waitress for ordering the pizza, because it was so unhealthy. The restaurant never seems to have any customers any more. With such an unappealing main menu and pizza guilt-trip, it's no wonder. Stay away. more

Two Boots Has Left The Building 11/9/2006

This used to be a cajun inspired restaurant with excellent jambalaya, popcorn shrimp, and blackened catfish but now it seems to be a vegetarian restaurant with no food theme in particular. It's a little dark inside, and there always seem to be flies hanging around. This used to be a fun, festive place good for kids but now it's something entirely different. more

Spicy and Different 10/11/2006

I'm not from NYC, so when I came to visit I wanted the real deal authenticity with pizza. While two boots WAS quite good, the cajun spin didn't really please my thin-crust craving. more

Fun for the kids 6/13/2005

Great pizza, nice waiting staff, good beer - kids have crayons and games to keep them occupied - its a real family place. The food is good and you're not hurried out of your seat when you finish. Themed decorations like Haloween have really had effort put into them. A real neighbourhood place to go. Pros: Pizza, Decor, Kid-friendly more

Great Food, But... 6/7/2004

It was the little things that upset us. The tap beer was flat. The bottom of the plates (for the garlic knots) were covered in chocolate from someone else's dessert. Overall, the food was great and the waitstaff very eager. Pros: Food, Ambiance, Nice Waitstaff Cons: , Chocolate Plates more
