Veggie Burgers as good as the West Coast's! 1/20/2007

Our server (blonde/long hair) was cold and not friendly in the least! She even charged us wrong. We ordered the special @ $6.99 and she charged us $7.45 (charging us for each topping that was included in the special) and then tried to convince us otherwise?we paid it b/c it wasn?t worth the drama. Thankfully our food was yummy. We ordered veggie burgers, sweet potato chips & fries. Burgers were large and definitely required two hands and a napkin?yes, even for the veggie burger. The veggie burgers could hang any day with those on the West coast. We would return for the food, but if the service was the same?we?d just settle on take out. Also, didn?t like seeing people working near the food with their hair down...not in the kitchen but at another preparation counter. Pros: Big veggie burgers with great taste. Cons: Had an unfriendly server & the place wasn't even busy. more

These are the best burgers in the Metroplex by far!! There is a fun atmosphere, good food, and service with a smile! :) Don't forget to try the sweet potato fries dipped in their special chipotle ketchup...yummy!! more

Down home cookin out on the town 11/20/2006

Great burger, sweet potato chips and sauces. I never know which one to use, horseradish mustard, chipotle ketchup or Quibcy's famous BBQ sauce. Wash it all down with a homeade rootbeer....WOW!\r Don't get me started on the fried mac and cheeseballs, they come with sauces too; IF you can wait long enough to dip them. Texas' Best Burger and a great chicken sandwich too 11/17/2006

I don't even live in Dallas and I love the place. I'm fortunate that I get to Dallas on business about once a month and I'm able to get a great burger at a very reasonable price. Not to mention the free WiFi let's me get some work done while I'm enjoying my meal. Don't hesitate to ask questions, the staff is friendly and hard working; if you have a problem let someone know (if you're impossible to please and a constant complainer looking for a free meal, I would suggest you stay home, seriously no one wants to put up with that). Also, be sure and look around sometimes there's a special written on a smaller chalkboard hanging somewhere else in the restaurant. The Sweet Potato fries are great and they have whole wheat buns too. I hope one opens in Austin soon. more

Black Angus Burger and even Sissy Food!! 11/16/2006

Real Cheddar cheese sticks to your fingers as you attempt to bite through this massive 1/2 lb Black Angus burger. Then you hear James Bonds, Tinkerbell, and Mr. T's names called out to come grab their food. Greatness. You will not be dissappointed! This is a great restaurant. This is one of the best burgers I have ever had. The service is always top notch. Its in a great location. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who asks where to find the best burgers in town. And who knows you just may end up seeing a celebrity or 2 (John Travolta perhaps). Twisted Root has amazing burgers, not to mention sides...my favorite and something I tend to crave is their Spicy Black Bean burger...hey, salads are awesome too. Want something cool for dessert, Oven Roasted Strawberry shakes...they have more flavors but this is my favorite. Mouth is watering thinking about Twisted Roots awesome food! Ok, so I'm a vegetarian who happens to love this burger joint. Why? Mostly the chocolate shakes, the fries, and the three cheese salad (love those spicy pecans). The burger was awesome. Hot, juicy, tender meat with all the fixins on my burger please! I loved sweet potatoes fries as well as the onion rings. And the homemade ice cream shakes are the best. Very unique flavors and made fresh as well. Great concept. Clean, neat and above all great customer service. We all know that is a must in Dallas.
