Twin River Lanes

We have been bowling at this establishment or many years and have seen the changes. The physical aspects used to be okay and now the place looks great! We bowl every month and the employees are very friendly and accomidating. They even have gutter guards that raise and lower according to individual bowlers on that lane! The furniture is wonderful and I certainly hope customers will be respectful an keep it nice. The prices are good too. At times they participate in the Kids Bowl For Free program. Birthday parties are managed well also. Nothing but positive to say about Rivers Lanes. I'm glad it is in Mt Pleasant! more

I have been bringing my kids here every month for the last year with our homeschool group. The new owners are wonderful! They have been very accomatateing to us! We have watched the place transform from a ok bowling ally to a top- notch place!! Very clean, all new furnature, lots of places to sit and hang out. The food is FANTASTIC! Who would have thought a bowling ally would have great food? I love their french fries! Tonight I decided to take the whole family (ages 11 to 83 ) for a family fun night. First time I had been here at night. there were many others here and the service was fantistic! The wait staff came by 3 times to check on our drinks and refill them. It is great to see this place really make a turn around and be a fun place for the whole family! more

who would have thought that 50 bucks for 4 games.....for two people really, it was only 530 pm.....we are league bowlers....at first we ordered two drinks a bud light which was brought in a plastic cup which for the 30 min sit did not even develope condensation on the plastic....hence warm beer. i thought i left that in the phillipines, the second drink was a bloody mary, you could see thru the glass , i think the mix or tomato juice was forgotten.....our lane which was 15 spent more time dropping pins and leaving missing pins upon rerack , the ball return sounded like a dump truck dropping rocks in a metal can, arcaic at best....the lanes to the right and left of us had adults and children alike kept bringing up food and drink up on the lanes that they were on, even spilling coke on our lane. and by the way, the couches in the lane area suck.....they are not practicle ....our lane had the electronics exposed in the middle of the control panel. In my 45 years of bowliing all over the nation this is the worse place to bowl ever....and just so u know I dont have an ax to grind.....I dont know anyone at this place and have not bowled here in 10 years....and wont be back....and lastly....as a league memeber i went to another bowling alley in goose creek on sunday and at the same time as I did on saturday in Mt pleasant......only this time my bowling same number of games cost $17.00 and bar tab was only about $20......twin rivers bistro got over $100.00 in just a few hours.....never again more

I'm not sure what the reviewer below is complaining about. Twin River Lanes is now River Bowl & Bistro. The prices have not changed since the summer and we've never charged by the 1/2 hour. We do have different prices on various days including specials - perhaps he asked for the price on a different day?!? Also, the message was posted on 1/7 (a Saturday) about visiting after church (6 days earlier was New Years Day?). We did not have waits that day. Beware reviewers with an axe to grind. more

We were told one price over the phone and after church we went here and watied over an hour for a lane and was told a different price. We could not believe the price of a 1/2 hour and the cost of it. Plus the lack of caring. When we brought this to the attention of the staff they could have cared less and lanes were open. What a joke to pay this for bowling. Granted the place is nice but to pay this for an 1.2 hour of bowling when you should pay by game instead and not rushed. Not a happy Expereince for 1st time customers. We will be be repeat customers. Being rushed for a game on time is not how you run a business. Please explain how you tell customers this over the phone and when u reserve a lane when you walk in things changes as you pay? We were told 4.00 per game not 25.00 per 1/2 hour! Just because of a wait! more

Good news for current and former Twin River Bowling patrons. Twin Rivers has transferred hands and is under new management. Look for immediate improvents in food and customer service and future facility improvements. Stop by and you will be pleased with the improved atmosphere and noticeable changes in customer service. more

My wife and I took the kids bowling tonight and we switched lanes several times because none of the equipment worked properly. Whenever we asked for help we were met with contempt from the staff. When we had finally had enough and asked for a refund the lone employee (a 16 year old girl) had to call another employee (who she said was not the manager) to get help. She said she didn't want to get in trouble. So we stood at the counter for 25 minutes waiting on the non-manager she called to come and be belligerent and belittling. He would not give us a full refund even though we each (4 of us) only bowled one frame before we became exasperated with the equipment and the service. So, if being treated poorly by teenagers is your idea of fun, I highly recommend you visit the place. I now understand why there was only one other family bowling there on a 90-degree Saturday night. Cons: The equipment doesn't work and the staff members aren't nice more

my experience at twin river,which i might add is just rewarding\r as my home bowling center in manhatten in n.y.c. i read the review that was posted,this person must be kidding or either a idiot.The bowling center has new hpl9000 lanes that they tell me were installed in 06 the same as we have back home.l bowled league on thursday nite the scoring is very high many 300 games and 800 series being bowled. the owner is a member of the professional bowlers tour, several times i have seen pba players signing autographs and mingling with the crowd. i have two friends from N.Y. who work in the kitchen and i can say the food is awsome. the open play bowling is full of energy and just fun. i just felt like i should reply to this message board because of the idiots like this one who left the first review should not be allowed on a computer.twin river lanes is like my home away home,also the center is as clean as it gets. if any one is looking to have fun at a reasonal cost by all means go to twin rivers. i would rate it 91/2 out of 10.jeff more

This is one of the worst bowling allies in Charleston. First off this ally is way too small and cramped. All the lanes look bumpy and sticky. They do not have a large enough selection of bowling ball weights and all the house ball look really rough with large gashes in them. They looked like reject ballz that people just left there. At the concession stand the woman behind the counter was too busy on her cell phone to notice I was there. The only thing cool about this ally is the fun animations on the computer if you do happen to get a strike on their crummy lanes. more
