Worst

I ordered the Buddha's Delight. The tofu was unrecognizeable and not good. It wasn't a cheap meal. Imagine my surprise when I saw they nicked me for $1.00 extra for brown rice!...

Editorial review from Citysearch 10/21/2012

I had the meal delivered to my home. The veggies were over processed and were shreaded. I thought the szechuan sauce needed to be cooked more to finish the meal. Peppers were plentyful. Sauce was running all over the bottom of the box. Just was not a good experience. Have had better chinese at a much lower price.. more

Disappointing 12/9/2008

I ordered the Buddha's Delight. The tofu was unrecognizeable and not good. It wasn't a cheap meal. Imagine my surprise when I saw they nicked me for $1.00 extra for brown rice! The place was empty and I can see why. I will NEVER go back. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 7/24/2008

by Jeff at GrubHub Provided by GrubHub
The lady who answered the phone was a bit rude and impatient. The information on here (GrubHub) said delivery was free with no minimum purchase. On the phone i was told there was a $15 minimum purchase for delivery. The food arrived around 10 minutes after it was ordered and everything I ordered was there. The food was excellent and very tasty. Overall i was very satisfied with my order and can easily overlook a little bit of impatience from the lady taking the order. I will definitely order from them in the future. more

Best Chinese in Denver! 3/22/2008

Went to Twin Dragon last weekend for the first time because my friend recommended it and LOVED IT! Food was tasty and service was prompt. I will be back! Pros: Food & Service Cons: Location (too far from me!) more

Take out portion is verrrrry small....mixed review on the food. 3/1/2008

I've gotten take out 2 times from here. The food is good, but the portions were small both times. They didn't even fill up the small styrafoam type container. The first time they made the food great....the second it was good but they really skimped on the beef and put a lot of celery, onions, and beansprouts in the meal instead. Chinese food is my favorite and I was disappointed cuz I followed citisearch and for the price and long drive for me, I was disapointed. The appetizer was spicy baby wontons both times and my husband and I liked them a lot the first time, but last night they tasted not good. There was way too much ginger in them and I felt like I was crunching on soap after the first one...I let my husband finish them and he felt the same. We lived in N.Y. for 27 years, just moved here, and are being constantly disappointed by the food around here. We thought that food is food, wherever you go but boy were we wrong. If N.Y. wasn't so expensive, I would go back to get some decent portions and great food! Cons: Portion size more

Fresh and Healthy Chinese! 3/8/2007

This place is excellent! they only use fresh, healthy ingredients! the flavor is outstanding but not greesy. I am a cook and have lived on the East Coast where we have great Chinese food and this place is the only place in Denver that compares and maybe even beats them! more

Always a GREAT MEAL & SERVICE 3/4/2007

Evidentially rrobcher & dreamintill8 are either stupid or ignorant, or possibly from another chinese restaurant, or just trying to get a FREE MEAL, and trying to discourage people from going to twin dragon!\r \r I have been a customer for over 16 years, at least once a week and find the best of everything at the twin dragon. Great food, ample portions, good service, and a really nice, clean atmosphere & restaurant.\r \r There is no other Chinese restaurant in Colorado I would recommend, and have to many and always take my out-of-town guests there, as well as book my company get togethers there.\r \r I highly recommend twin dragon for all your Chinese meals.\r \r Pros: great food, ample portions, great service, cleanist Chinese restaurant I have been in Cons: should be more twin dragons! more

BEST HOT & SOUR SOUP I'VE EVER HAD! 2/27/2007

I travel around the country quite a bit and always look for something fast and cheeper whereever i go. Last thursday i came Denver. I was tired and hungry, and I asked the cab driver to drop me off any chinese restaurant that he likes. He dropped me off at a place called Twin Dragon. Their menu had so much to choose but I orded as usual where ever I go, the sesame chicken with hot & sour soup. Oh the HOT & SOUR SOUP! Never had soup like that in my life! Full of flavor and plus shrimp in the hot & sour soup! The Sesame Chicken had that ginger, garlic flavor from inside out. Thanks to the cab driver I had great meal. Next time when I come back to Denver, I'll definately visit that place again! If you're going to Denver or in Denver, I strongly recommend you to go there. Good Price & Great Food! more

Best Restaurant in Englewood! 2/15/2007

wow, I normally don't write reviews but I feel compelled because I just discovered Twin Dragon a few months ago and I will never go to another Chinese restaurant if I can help it! I have been to others in town and the flavors and food quality / freshness do not compare. I am addicted to the crab cheese wontons, pot-stickers, fried rice and sesame chicken! I was suprised to see 2 bad reviews here bashing a great family run restaurant......saw that for both it was their only review, ever..... and you can tell they are crazy! everything was terrible? and who complains about steamed rice?\r \r TRUST ME, U CAN THANK ME LATER.....\r \r Jane Pros: Food! Service and atmosphere for the $ Cons: Too much too eat at once more

Yeah about that.... 9/20/2006

I was excited to take my boyfriend to Twin Dragon, I had read here it was pretty good. I am an absolute lover for asian food. We were greeted with an amazing enviroment and the service was very attentive. Yet, excellent service can not cloud the awful food. At normal chinese restaurantsyou are givin plates of overflowing goodness. Not here. The portions were small. When you go to an asian restaurant it seems you leaved there stuffed and with mass amounts of left-overs. Which is almost the best part of chinse food, the cold left-overs. Not at Twin Dragon.\r First of all,I ordered the SPICY GARLIC CHICKEN. I love spicy food and devour garlic whenever I get a chance. My boyfriend stuck to the usual Mu Shu Chicken. Can not really go wrong with that, right? Well, let me start with the Mu Shu Chicken. The plate came out and looked like mush. Not at all appatizing. It was edible. BUT, the ""plume"" sauce! Oh my, it tasted like dark chocolate. Interesting. Okay so for the real kicker. My spicy garlic chicken. Neither spicy NOR garlicy. I don't even think there was garlic in it. The sause was very very very sweet, did I mention it was SWEET. No spice, No garlic. \r At Twin Dragon they have a beautiful atmosphere, and I will visit there gift shop I am sure. Yet, I grew up loving asian food, and this place makes me wanna stop eating it. \r DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING THERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT! Pros: I guess the friendly service Cons: The con is the one thing you go there for, THE FOOD!!! more

Terrible food 6/17/2006

My family came here for lunch on a Saturday. There were no other customers. (a sign that the food must be bad) We had a pu-pu platter that tasted just like the name! The spare ribs were dried out and hard as a rock, like they had just been sitting around all day. They were definitely not fresh. When our meals came, we all sampled each others and couldn't believe that not even one meal tasted good. The sesame chicken was vinegary, dry and had gross breading and sauce. The cashew chicken tasted like cheap chicken that was not fresh. They didn't offer fried rice, instead it was soggy cheap white rice. It tasted like left over Minute Rice. We told our server the food was not good like it used to be the last time we had eaten there, years ago. The owner came to our table and argued that the quality of food is good. Even after telling her of all the problems we were having with our food, she still was not accomodating. We expected to at least not be charged for the pu-pu platter (since it was not fresh and tasted old), but we were charged full price for everything. I would never eat at this restaurant again. Take our word for it, do not waste your money. It has really gone down hill. Pros: Clean dining area, decent atmosphere Cons: Cramped booths, terrible food. more

Truly exceptional chinese! 6/16/2006

My date and I visited this place late Thursday night and were seated in the five-table smoking section apart from other diners. We found the tiki drink menu charming and ordered a fruity Zombie complete with skull cup and straw. For an appetizer we chose the fancy Shoo Mai dumplings; each pair tasted and looked different, some fishier than the others. We ordered the chicken in spicy garlic sauce and the Mongolian chef's special which was a stir fry of chicken, beef and shrimp in a pepper sauce. I was pleased to discover that only white meat chicken was used and the beef slices were quite lean and crispy with a charbroiled flavor. The stir-fry was replete with white onions and scallions and the garlic chicken with mushrooms and sizable chunks of garlic. We both agreed that the stir fry was incredibly tasty and would be difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate at home. While he enjoyed the garlic chicken, I'm not particularly fond of thick syrupy chinese sauces (the waitress said this was akin to their sesame dish) and just mostly picked out the strips of chicken. The flavor was spot on, although the spice was very mild, at best. To finish we agreed on green tea ice cream which was, to me, mostly like dyed vanilla and was a dissapointingly small scoop for $2.50. Contrariwise, the well drinks were reasonable at just $3.00 each. The staff here was so alarmingly attentive--three people took turns delivering drinks and clearing the table throughout the experience. We will be returning soon and perhaps often. Pros: service, pricing, portions Cons: rice and dessert portion small more

Have to try it! 8/9/2005

The food is by far the best Chinese food I've ever had...The restaurant is a classic Chinese food restaurant and the perfect place for a good Chinese meal. They offer fantastic service, great appetizers, one of favorites are crab cheese wontons and egg rolls, as well as great Tiki drinks! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a fantastic Chinese meal. more

Never had a bad meal here 2/20/2004

I've eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal. The service is ALWAYS great and the food is top notch, some of the best Chinese in Denver. I would recommend this to anyone looking for excellent Chinese in a fun atmosphere. The owners also opened up a store selling Chinese items next door. The quality wasn't bad and the prices were reasonable too. If you have a Chinese decor, not a bad place to check out. Pros: Food, Service, Value more

Denver doesn't have a tiki bar 9/5/2002

but Twin Dragon will do! If you're in the mood for some of those wacky cocktails your parents used to order at dinner, this is the place. Mai Tais, Zombies, Flaming volcanoes and the like, all served in fantastic tiki-style glasses (skulls, bamboo shoots, dancing wahines.) You can even purchase your cocktail glass after you've finished your cocktail. Plus, Twin Dragon serves up some fantastic Chinese food. Service is fast and courteous. Pros: Tiki Drinks, Great food, Great service Cons: Located in Englewood more
