I had been rear-ended but not enough to damage the body but my car failed to start. I had my car towed to Troy Tri Auto to find out what it was. The diagnosis they gave me was that my computer had went bad and that it would be upwards of $300 to fix. I didnt understand how my computer could go bad from being rear-ended at a low mph. After talking w/ some friends that are mechanics by hobby, they told me it sounded like my fuel pump shut-off switch was triggered. I went back to Troy Tri Auto to ask them about it and they got very defensive. I asked to see my computer and they showed me. I looked further down in the wire harness and saw that 2 wires had been cut, the metal was shiny. I made the suggestion that i should probably get a lawyer. Low and behold they had my car ready the next day and charged me only for the tow.
