Please don't send your loved ones to 2/16/2012

Please don't send your loved ones to Trillium. My grandmother was supposed to be there for Rehab, and then home in a few days after a surgery. Now she's in ICU fighting for life because of her care at Trillium. They didn't make sure that she ate or drank, and often forgot to even bring her food (I had to remind them several times). She went into kidney failure because she was so dehydrated and starving. Not once in the week we were there did I see a nurse wash their hands or put on gloves. Because of this my grandma's chest tube got infected and she is septic. I'll say it again, my grandma is currently in ICU fighting for her life, because of the care she received at Trillium. more

Tragic 8/2/2011

This place looks nice on the outside, is in a nice location, but don't leave your loved ones there. My niece had her long hair cut from waist length to neck length (and it was always kept in a thich braid) and no one would confess to it. According to a dr at a nearby emergency center, she had a broken hip that had to have come from being dropped. A family member must be there for many hours, every day. Not enough staff and not enough staff who care. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If I could get my niece out of there I would. more

horrible 5/31/2011

only thing i can say is that my father passed away here..... only 48 years old, he had a bed wound that was healing an he couldnt walk... i know that they did try to help but they did not follow procedures, he would be in his own poop for hours, pain meds would not come in for hours, the staff was over worked under forced.... some serious evaluations for how this place is run, needs to be done..... i know that i have alot of emotion behind this review but if they kept up on the job my father would still have been here today, think twice before coming here.... more

Looks nice HORRIBLE CARE!!!! 4/14/2011

The system they have in place to update their staff with residents care is inadequate. My sister witnessed a patient nearly get an additional dose of pain medication simply because the staff failed to check his chart prior to administrating his medication. My mother had orders changed by a Doctor that were neglected once again for failure to check her chart. Her chart had detailed wound care instructions that weren?t executed because the aids failed to review her chart. My mother is bedridden and on a feeding tube. I have personally seen aids lay my mother flat with the tube still running. (this can kill her!!!) In less than 6 months my mother has been sent to the hospital 3 times for internal bleeding which stems from lack of proper care. The nursing home looks nice but the care is horrible!! If you need a nurse it will take you an hour at the minium before someone comes and when they do they do come dont know anything and will give you the standard ""let me look at her chart"" and then you are waiting yet another hour. I am grateful my mother was able to make it out of there alive!! We visit my mom daily I really feel sorry for the people that dont have family that can be as involved as us because they just get neglected. If you Love the person you need skilled care for DONT SEND THEM TO TRILLIUM!!! The 1st month their service is AWESOME and after that you get neglected. I think they do that so you can sleep at night thinking your loved one is being cared for. It is really sad because it could be a great place if they had the proper employeees and procedures. more

a good place of uncaring people 8/20/2009

I agree with ""unhappy 1010"".We had an experience with Hearthstone of Sun City back in 2007.My husband got injured at his job in January of 2007and he was @St. Joes Hospital for about 5 months. He was very delicate, but after that time they felt he was good enough to be moved out in to Hearthstone.Right since the first time I went into that place I knew they had the worst service anyone could imagine.Right from the beginning I saw how they treated the patients. How uncaring they were.Even employees who worked there had the confidence to tell me to get my husband out of that place because he was being treated very bad.He had severe brain injury so he couldn't tell me himself and I feel they took advantage of the situation. He even got verbally and physically abused.Of course we told the people in charge and they did nothing about it which makes me think they were aware of all the negligence and didn't care as long as they get paid by the insurance companies. All I could say is don't send anyone you love to that place! We suffered so much having my husband in that place, but I struggled against insurance company and finally got him out of that horrible place. They transferred him to Sunview. They are the Best! My husband is better now Thank God.I recommend everyone who has to look for a hospital to be very careful because sometimes they promise things that aren't true. Thanks! Hospital like that don't deserve to be in service. Pros: clean Cons: very very bad service for people who need special care more

It may look nice, but don't be fooled!! 5/30/2008

It may look nice, but IT COULD BE THE END OF YOU to stay here!! Pros: newly remodelled Cons: poor staff to patient ratio. poor infection protection processes. more
