Harrison's is a great hangout. Kevin, the manager/bartender is great as well. Don't miss it for the good food and beer, and great atmosphere!

A great improvement over Harrison's - in fact, this little place has the best service of ANY restaurant in Cary. The staff clearly works as a team, and it shows in a great experience for the customer. The food is delicious, the prices very reasonable. We've been there three times now in the last 2 months and it has now become our #1 place to go to eat. more

Great place! We used to visit when it was Harrison's, food has changed dramatically. Serving sizes are quite large Cobb salad enough for two meals, perfectly prepared chicken-(no fake grill marks), fresh corn, yummy! $8- amazing. We also have tried the fish sandwich (big!), cuban wrap, burgers. Consistently good, and with a well rounded offerings of beers of tap, a sure winner any night. Train Station is our new favorite! more

We were there Sunday... took my mom and sister there a couple of times and they loved it like we do. The food is incredibly good and very reasonably priced. And the service is fantastic... it's high on our list of favorite places to chill and enjoy a great meal. My son - a real expert on the subject - says the burgers are the best he's ever had!\r \r more

My husband and I love This place! 12/12/2011

We've eaten here several times and the burgers are to die for. Great place for late night pool, live bands, and late night menu, and dancing! Great stage area, and we liked sitting outside on the spacious patio. You should get out here and grab a bite. more

Horrible, well, EVERYTHING! 7/15/2011

A group of work buddies and I went to Harrison's today and sat outside. Aside from having a VERY snarky waitress, whose cut-off jean shorts made her look very trashy, the food was not that great. We got a horribly bad attitude when we asked to have our bill split up, after waiting 20 minutes for our food. After I didn't finish my nasty cheeseburger, one of the waitresses came by to remove my plate. Thought that was nice, since our own waitress didn't seem to care. However, this waitress then turned around and set the plate of food on the ground to let the dog behind me (who came in with what was evidently a repeat customer) LICK the plate and finish the food! Disgusting! We definitely could have been treated better, the food could have been better, and if the waitress wanted to feed the dog, that situation could have been handled better as well. I will not be going back (glad that this was only my first time!), and I doubt that anyone from my group will be returning. It's a shame, since they all seemed to go there several times a week, too. Glad I could feed the dog.\r Better off going to ANY other bar in the area. more

Harrison's, good times, good food, good beer 3/15/2011

Great food. Great drinks. Great service. 12/28/2010

Harrison's has been a Cary favorite for over a decade now, for business lunch or for sports-time drinks -- and it's every bit as good as it ever was. The interior has been recently remodeled to complement the laid-back atmosphere. There's a dining room side with attentive service, and a game room side with pool tables, darts, and video games. Quiet lunches, ""Friends"" atmosphere after work, a bit wilder late at night. The perfect combination. And great food, large portions, at great prices. Highly recommended. more

Over IT 11/19/2010

Besides the dodgy crowd that has taken over Harrison's the service is just awful. The food is too. I will no longer be patronizing their establishment. My time and money would be better spent at another sports bar near by.. more

Nice and quiet... 8/30/2010

This is a nice, quiet bar. There's always the small group of repeat customers on the weekdays and it gets a little busy on the weekends. The food is good and the drinks are reasonably priced. If you want a nice getaway without the loud and immature bar scene, this is the place for you! It has become one of my favorite spots since I moved to Cary. It fits right in with the atmosphere of Cary... more

What is left? 3/2/2010

They have taken off everything enjoyable from the food menu and the beer menu. The service is terrible. more

Painful 1/26/2010

If you truly cant stand your co-workers then I highly recommend this place for a team building event. Pros: Good burgers Cons: The staff seems to be 'between meds' more

Terrible service, mediocre (at best!) food 11/5/2009

I've had more than one really bad experience at this bar, and I now avoid going there pretty much altogether. This place used to be great, but in the past few years the overall quality has gone down. I don't ask for much as far as 'friendliness' in my servers, but I work in customer service and expect for my order to be taken in the first twenty minutes that I'm there and without an attitude. More than once this has not been the case at Harrison's. I've had two or three DIFFERENT waitresses act as though I'm bothering them with my patronage. After the food is delivered, they disappear, even if there are no drinks on the table. They take fifteen minutes to get your drinks after you've finally flagged them down and you have to hunt them in the same way in order to pay your check! It would be hard to put up with this for some really good food, but it has gone down in quality as well as the service. If you're going just for drinks and don't mind being treated like crap, this is the place for you. Pros: Two seconds from my house Cons: Poor service (attitude and promptness), food more

Terrible Service and Poor food 10/15/2009

We used to go to Harrison's with our friends weekly, the food was great (loved the ribeye sandwich with parmesan encrusted tomatos, no longer on the menu) and the service was friendly and decent... NOT ANYMORE! I don't know if they have had a change in management (I have never seen the manager there) and we rarely see the same waitress... even though were there weekly no one ever knew or remembered us. I don't know exactly when the change took place, but I would say in the last 18 months to 2 years. There is no attention to detail with the food anymore, the burgers are still good, but whoever is cooking them doesn't know how to hit the temperature you ordered. We have been testing out new Pubs to go too... we have tried Spirits and Wild Wings and Rings so far... may try that new place on Harrison Blvd where Terroro's used to be... but there is no pleasure in going to Harrison's anymore. The last time we were there we had a friend call and have us order her food for her... she didn't show up for 30 minutes and the food didn't come out until a good 10 or 15 minutes after she got there. Another friend had to go inside to find his waitress and get his credit card back... getting a beer on the patio is absolutely impossilbe, and I have never had a manager come by and check on us... it is unfortunate, the food and service used to be great and the only thing I had to complain about was the cell phone coverage inside! Now they have lost anywhere from 8-10 regulars who came every week. I wish this bar would improve because their location is perfect for us. The only reason I am even giving them one star is because the critique requires it! I hope someone reads this and makes the changes necessary to bring the old Harrison's back. Pros: Close to home Cons: Service and food more

terrible! 8/15/2009

a big group of us went to this place a few nights ago and asked one of the asian girls in our group and two of the african american boys in our group to leave. i couldn't believe it. it was clearly obvious that it was for racial reasons. i will never go back to this place again and do not recommend anyone to. more

The perfect basic bar 8/5/2009

I have been going to Harrison’s for several years now and I have always found it to be a great place to unwind when downing a nice cold beer. They have a great beer selection and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The establishment balances a nice “Cheers” like atmosphere with a non-smoking family dining side and has a varied “Americana” flavored menu which always pleases the hungry customer. The most ingratiating part of Harrison’s though has always been the friendly and reliable service epitomized by people such as Kevin, Susan, Jenn, and Taylor. Not only have they set a high standard of excellence, but the constant stream of repeat clientele speaks volumes of the unique character of this establishment, and the meritorious service of the employees to see that each and every customer is taken care of and has a positive dining and/or festive experience. Pros: Beer selection, Service, Food Cons: Parking more

Great Food 4/26/2009

I have been going to harrisons for a long time. It is a great place to hang out with my friends. They have just about everything you can think of, from pool tables, ntn poker(one of my favorite's) and might I add free to play(again one of my favorite's), Bago boards, and the list goes on. Harrison's also has the best food in town. I highly recommend this bar and as for the smoke as everyone has mentioned, ITS A BAR! Yes it would be nice to get rid of the smoke but what can you do. Dont miss out. Pros: ample to do Cons: Smoke more

On borrowed time 3/12/2009

This place is ALWAYS filled with smoke so don't even think about eating there with the family. The staff is inattentive at best. I've tolerated this place for a while because my friends like it there, but no more. I'm tired of waiting too long for a drink, too long for food, being treated porrly by staff and management AND THE OWNERS!!! This is not a professionally run establishment. The employees drink at the bar after their shift (which is probably why no one else can get any service). The bathroom is CONSTANTLY out of order. This place needs a major renovation, starting with the staff. The food is OK but the burgers are usually undercooked. There are so many other places that are so much better. Don't waste your time on this crappy place. I know I won't anymore! Pros: not the only bar in Cary Cons: where do I begin... more

COOL HANG OUT, AT NIGHT 2/2/2009

ME AND 5 OF MY FRIENDS WENT HUNG OUT AT HARRISONS THIS PAST SATURDAY AFTERNOON TO WATCH THE GAME. OUR WAITRESS WAS ALRIGHT, SHE ONLY FORGOT ABOUT US A BUNCH OF TIMES AND IT WASNT THAT BUSY. AROUND 4 OR 5 IT STARTED GETTING A LOT BUSIER AND AFTER NOT SEEING OUR WAITRESS FOR ABOUT 25 MINUTES, WE FINALLY DO SEE HER AND SHE'S WALKING OUT THE DOOR! FORTUNATELY A NEW WAITRESS STARTED WAITING ON US AND SHE HAD A MUCH BETTER PERSONALITY AND WAS MUCH BETTER LOOKING, BUT SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS GOIN ON, IT GOT BUSY AS HELL AND IT SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE UNDERSTAFFED, WE WERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE AND WERE WAITING TO GET OUR CHECK WHEN ANTOTHER WAITRESS (I THINK IT WAS THE MANAGER) CAME AND CHECKED ON US TO SEE IF WE WANTED ANOTHER ROUND. SHE ASKED US IF EVERYTHING WAS OKAY AND ACTUALLY SAT DOWN AND TALKED TO US, APLOGIZED SINCERELY ABOUT A DOZEN TIMES AND TOOK A ROUND OF DRINKS OFF OF OUR CHECK. MY FRIENDS WERE INTOWN VISITING FROM CHARLOTTE AND WE TOLD HER WE WERE HEADING DOWN TOWN AND SHE SUGGESTED A FEW PLACES AND INTRODUCED US TO THE LOCAL CAB DRIVER TUBA. I USE TO GO TO HARRISONS A LOT BUT STOPPED GOING BECAUSE OF THE SAME TYPE OF SERVICE WE GOT EARLIER THAT DAY. WE ALL REALLY APPRECIATED THE MANAGER AND SHE TOOK AWESOME CARE OF US. IN THE TIME IT TOOK US TO GET OUR CHECKS, PAY THEM AND GET UP, 4 DIFFERENT WAITRESSES ASKED HOW WE WERE DOING TONIGHT AND ASKED IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING. THE DIFFERENCE IN THE SERVICE AND THE WAITRESSES BETWEEN THE NIGHT AND THE DAY IN THAT BAR IS EXACTLY THAT. Pros: HOT WAITRESSES more

Greatest Bar Ever 1/18/2009

The management takes the time to ask about your meal, how the service is, ect. Great food, Great service. Best hangout spot in the area hands down. I am and will be there every night for years to come. Pros: Management and Service Cons: Place is kinda hidden, must look for it more

WORST SERVICE IN THE AREA !!!!!!!!!!! 1/12/2009

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! like most other people here, i will not be returning to harrison's. after an hour of watching the waitresses hanging out talking i finally had to go to the bar to even get my check. keep in mind there was maybe 10 people in the entire place! \r Gave it one more chance yesterday and after being served by an incredibly rude young woman on the non smoking side will NOT be returning. EVER. after she screwed up my order she gave me a condecending look when i asked for it THE WAY I ORIGINALLY ORDERED IT!!! the replaced order was simply wiped clean of the offending ingredients (which they didnt even do a good job of) giving no regard to the fact that I ordered it like that FOR A REASON! \r I've worked in the service industry for 15 years and have never worked or eaten at a place with as bad an attitude/service towards their PAYING CUSTOMERS. \r Maybe these servers are in a bad mood because their lousy service and demeanor isnt earning them many tips. GET A CLUE!! \r People would be better served to spend their money at one of the many restaurants around here where the management actually CARES about their customers. more
