Toyota of SB went above and beyond to find the exact vehicle that I wanted. That was not an easy task either being that the earthquake in Japan has interrupted the flow of vehicles coming to the states. Big thanks for getting my perfect car. more

The Worst! 9/19/2011

This is by far the worst Toyota dealership out there. Their service department is an absolute nightmare. I kid you not every time I have had to bring my truck in I have had an issue. Just try to make an appointment, I dare you. It's so frustrating because I purchased my Toyota based on how great I had heard the dealerships were to work with. I even purchased a prepaid maintenance program with them which I am completely regretting now, based on the fact I have to bring it in to them for every service. They have the poorest customer service, in complaining I actually received a response from a manager ""well if you have had so many problem with us why do you bring it in here?""! My response was my truck is under warranty and I need something faulty fixed, as well as the fact I spent thousands of dollars on a prepaid maintenance program. His response involved nothing about, ""I'm so sorry you feel that way"", ""we will try better next time"". I've had to complain to Toyota headquarters multiple times. more

Appointment 9/16/2011

We had an appointment and were not kept waiting. We started off test driving 2 different models intending to get another color delivered from a different location. But ultimately they worked out a deal with us for a showroom car and we got it! more

I was on the market for a new Scion, and I love love love that I finally purchased my new car from Toyota of SB. They were so informative with all the packages the vehicle came with, and the sales associate was really cool, and not pushy, and very patient. City Boy Takes over New Management 9/3/2007

Toyota Of Santa Barbara is now under new management- some so called city boy is now incharge- Mike Coldwell. Seems to know the product well- just seems to be on the short and ugly side. If you can get past his arrogance and his bad breath - the place is not all that bad. Much more talent down the road more

Toyota SB 7/14/2007

I found a new truck that I wanted and they gave me a good price on it but I hesitated and the truck sold to someone else. They worked with me and located another truck,got it for me from San Luis Obispo and beat the best price that I got after a week of searching out of town dealers. Then when they realised that the rebate we had been figuring on had expired, they lowered the price to match the rebate and that saved me $40 more because tax is figured from the price before rebate. Pros: local , friendly , good price, lack of pressure, plenty of attention more

staff rude and un-professional 11/11/2006

Went in to the Toyota of SB dealership to pick up a car of mine that I got some work done on, and it was a saturday so the service department was closed and I had to go inside the main showroom for help. There, the staff acted completely un-professionally, dismissively, and showed little desire to help me or successfully find my paperwork as I wasn't planning on buying a car from them that instant, and instead just needed my more than sufficiently paid for car back. Whats more, it was 9:30 in the morning on a saturday, with no other customers on the lot, but these ""employees"" were apparently too busy and important to be of any effective service. Sure, there are cars there you _could_ buy, but the people selling them are aweful at their job and don't know the first thing about customer service or ensuring any kind of return visit, but instead only how to primp their bloated egos. Make a smart decision, spend your money somewhere its appreciated. Pros: comfortable chairs to sit in while you wait, and wait, and wait Cons: the sales staff more

I have driven Toyotas for 25 years now. The main reason is because of the repair department at the SB location. I know I can trust them to do a great job. They repair something when it is time to, never before. They have a car to drive me to work and back. more

they're kind of hard to deal with. They don't really have wide selections of cars in their lots too compared to Toyota dealer in Ventura or Los angeles. more

I knew Jim Frank, one of the most favourite dealer. He gave me a good deal when i bought my toyota tacoma. He arranged and managed all the things for me from the registration, insurance, all the things. The price he gave me is pretty good and the car is also new...Toyota tacoma 2003.. Gasoline is economical.. more

Unwanted Service 8/2/2005

If your car ever has a problem and your under warranty you will end up here. They schedule you an appointment and give you a ride back in their shuttle, but they will tell you that your due for a servicde (if your above 32k miles) and charge you $270 if you let them do it! Just do it yourself and save big bucks. more
