Growing up in Jackson I LOVED going to the Toy House. It was always stocked with so many things. As a kid, I always thought that must be what Santa's shop must have been like. more

I too grew up in Jackson and have great memories of the toy house. It is nothing like a chain store because there is nothing there but toys!!! I remember the little marionettes they had across the wall that would dance to music when you came in. The bigger toys are already put together for you like play kitchens, bikes, train sets, etc. so that you can see how they look out of the box. The selection is great, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. To a child the place was magical to me. more

The Best Toy Store! 6/21/2007

Growing up as kid in Jackson before the era of Toys R Us and Wal-Mart, I would always get so excited to see a gift wrapped with the distinctive safari paper from the Toy House. After moving away for several years and finally returning to Jackson, I returned to the Toy House as an adult and immediately remembered why I had thought it was the most magical place in the world when I was a kid. Instead of the same standard toys you see at every big box store, the selection at the Toy House is ASTOUNDING. I was also thrilled at the Baby section, which had a great selection of real (meaning doesn't require assembly) baby furniture that the Toy House would deliver for free. Babys R Us cannot compete with that! At any rate, kudos to the family who runs the Toy House for keeping it the place of dreams. more

Long time Resident, first time buyer 4/21/2007

I grew up in Jackson but I never shopped here until I had kids of my own. I was skeptical with the idea that only the big chain stores can get the good stuff at a good price but I was so wrong!\r \r The place has just about everything you could image and then some. We just had a baby and bought most of our baby stuff from them and everything that was suggested to us was right on the money. \r \r They don't try to oversell you things and they seem very eager to make sure that you only get the exact product that is the solution that you need.\r \r Forget the chain toy and baby stores. If you live within driving distance, you really should check them out! more

There is so much to look at! Check out their large selection of bikes and scooters and take a minute to test them out, too! They also carry a large selection of hobby items such as as trains and models. They have a display of collectible dolls as well. Their selection is unbeatable and if you desire a hard-to-find toy, be sure to let their friendly staff know so they can help you find it! more

worlds best toy store 10/10/2005

When ever I need toys or craft supplies I always go to the toy house they have the best selection of toys and games I've ever seen. I get all of my presents here for cousins, nieces and nephews and even some of my friends who are collectors. My favorite part of the store is the great craft selection they always have what I need and if they don't they will try to help you find it. I always have a great shopping experience here. this is the best toy shop around. you just dont find real toy shops like this any more you can find anything here. we go all the time they have everything from baby all the way up to us big kids. My favorite part of the store is all the craft items you can buy and buy and buy you could keep busy for a century here be careful when you take the kids or your wallet could come out extremely light! if you know what I mean They just have everything and they even gift wrap for you while you wait what a great toy store I go here all the time! PROS: good old fashioned toy store CONS: none more

Can always find the special and the unusual here! 9/20/2005

My youngest granddaughter and I can spend hours at the Toy House -- there's so many neat toys, games, and hobbycraft items! I shopped here when my kids were small, and it's still THE place to go when we can't find something at one of the larger retail stores. I find their prices reasonable, and I love the free gift wrapping! more

Toys that you can never imagine, toys that you have been looking all over for...they are all here. It is a little higher priced than the larger retailers, but more worth your time. They layout is wonderful and you could stay in there for hours.....we have! Any they wrap your gifts too. What more can you ask for! PROS: Gift wrapping. CONS: more

Best selection of toys in the area with wonderful customer service 9/11/2005

The Toy House is a family owned store that has been in the area for ages. This store not only carries any toy that you could ever imagine, they also have a wonderful furniture selection for children (ie. cribs, dressers, changing tables, rockers, etc.) The Toy House carries anything that the chain toy stores would carry, and their prices are always equal to the chain stores prices, if not better. The Toy House has a wonderful lay away program that is wonderful for birthdays and especially Christmas time. They always beautifully gift wrap any present at no charge. You also will be sure to receive excellent customer service anytime you shop at the Toy House. The Toy House also has free seminars frequently for new parents or expecting parents to help them select car seats, cribs, etc. PROS: Wonderful store with any toy a child could ever want!! CONS: more
