I have been to this hospital several times with medical issues and they just gave me what they could do get me out. When it comes to myself I can deal with stupidity. Last night I took my 8 year old son there because he was hallucinating and was covered from scalp to toes in hives. The admitting nurse showed care but once we were in the back the care disappeared by the other nurses and the ""so called doctor."" My son has never had this happen to him before. The doctor came in once and hardly even looked at my son's body. The hives were red and had white centers in the formation which was weird. A nurse came back and said we are giving him Benadryl and a steroid. Before he was given the medications he was seeing black objects all over the room. He was not running a fever and had a bad headache. When I requested that the doctor come back in to see him to explain that the hallucinations were getting worse and my son's eyes were turning bright red, he said ""I don't know why he is doing this, maybe because of the medications."" I said no because it was happening before the medications were given. He shrugged his shoulders and walked out. We checked in at 9:30pm mad didn't leave until 2am. I am so appalled at the lack of concern and care that these doctors show, as well as the nurses. We still don't know what's going on with my son. I will never go back to that hospital. more

My mother took my father to town and country hospital in an act of desperation. My father was in alot of pain in his knee and in his stomach. They admitted him which of course took all day. We were told that his platelet count was very low which is very scary to hear. BUT after that we weren't told much of anything. All they did for him was do an x-ray on his knee which they only told us that it was horrible arthritis. They gave him a cortizone shot which obviously has already worn off and the horrible pain has come back. They took 20 vials of blood but of course we heard ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT AFTERWARDS!!! My mother and I had to go to the nurses station to get any results. NEVER EVEN SAW A DOCTOR!!! My poor father had nothing to eat except a liquid diet because they said that there was going to be a test run which NEVER HAPPENED!!! Do yourself a favor..... DO NOT GO TO TOWN AND COUNTRY HOSPITAL!!! I love my father more than anything and the treatment or LACK OF treatment is appauling. We still don't know about the distension in his stomach and found out that he could have a blood clot in his knee. Amazing that his primary physician could tell us that but a HOSPITAL couldn't figure it out. I wouldn't give it negative stars because that would just be TOO GOOD!!! more

to this hospital, but would never take my dog. Doctors that lie, nurses that are just as dishonest and I AM a nurse. I would never lie to a patient. The doctors here practice extremely defensive medicine and when I mentioned it to one doctor, he called it ""preventive care"". The story is long and involved, but from the ER to the Neuro-intensive care unit, I was treated poorly. As others have said, I would give this place negative stars if I could. I'm new to Tampa and if I had asked ANYONE, I would have been told to stay away from this place. As it is, every SINGLE person I've discussed my experience with has told me about the hideous reputation this place has with those in the know. Even staff at another hospital winced when I said I had been to T&C. Do yourself a favor and keep those you care about away from this place. St. Joseph's is close, drive past T&C so that you can remain vertical, horizontal is no way to leave. more

We buried my Dad today. He went into the Town and Country Hospital for a knee injury. The emergency room took an xray ..said- no broken bones - take him home. I asked for him to be admitted to check him out thoroughly as he was hobbling as a result of tripping up his walker. and fellon carpet. Pros: Good Front Cons: Bad Doctors and Nurses more
