We haven't been too thrilled with the Mexican food in this area. So much of it seems heavy, salty, and not-so-fresh. Most of the time it is buried in so much cheese that you forget what you ordered. Pros: Vegetarian options more

Excellent food, best salsa in town 4/8/2006

We've been patrons of a number of Mexican restaurants in Durham, and Torero's by far is the best. You can't lose with the mocajete or fajitas, and even the huevos rancheros are great. The salsa is fresh, laced with plenty of cilantro and disappears almost instantly. more

excellent food and service 7/10/2004

on a recent visit to toreros on guess road. the food was hot, fresh, and delicious. the service was superior never ran out of any drinks or chips and salsa the environment was nice with modern dance music playing on the bars huge nice DJ type sound system. and in my opinion the best dog on margaritas in town. the prices are a little but high but it is real steak in the steak dishes and not your average beef. Pros: excellent food, excellent service more
