First off I want to say that while this company appears to be local they are not, most of their products come from a warehouse outside of Texas. So buying from this company sends your money out of Austin but does help employ a handful of Austinites. Toner Plus sells refilled inkjets as well as ""rebuilt"" laser toner cartridges. About 1/3 of the inkjets I've bought have been faulty, requiring a trip back to Toner Plus so they can be exchanged. They told me that the color inkjets can be tricky to refill, funny they say that when they sell a machine that refills them. Both color and black refilled inkjet cartridges from this company have leaked or otherwise misbehaved in my printers, thus costing me time and gasoline to exchange them. Then they tried to blame my printer, which works flawlessly as soon as I take out THEIR cartridge and replace with a competitors. The rebuilt laser cartridges they sell are cheaply done compared to the competition. I always seemed to get a lot more pages from competitors products, and the competitors stuff cost less money too. Since I print a lot of identical pages at certain times of each month it's easy for me to make a good comparison since page counts and page coverage are about the same from month to month. Long story short, there a lot of other vendors I would use before I would go back to this place. I can't comment on their printer repair shop as I have never used it, I've always used the local Austin company ITWorkz for printer repair and would suggest you do the same. Be very careful if you visit their store, it's in an unsafe neighborhood with a high crime rate and your car may be burglarized in the parking lot even in broad daylight.
Pros: They employ Austin residents.
Cons: Faulty inkjets galore, poorly remanufactured toner drums/cartridges, unsafe location
