We had lunch here today and were pleased with both of our lunches. I had teriyaki beef and chicken and it was tender! My boyfriend had the beef and shrimp tempura and he was happy with his food too. The decor is still kind of cool, even though it hasn't changed for years. Tokyo Lobby is definately a value and the quality of our food was exceptional. more

You get what you pay for! Good Food 11/21/2006

Tokoyo Lobby is an ICON in the San Gabriel Valley the Best Teriyaki Chicken and vintage California Rolls. I reccomend the C-Special without skin and Ca Rolls. You cannot go wrong with the cost and the meal. Now of Course for Sushi Experts this is not the place, but it seems everyone who I know who loves Sushi !!started off at Tokoyo Lobby the restaurant where all Sushi Begginers start. I do not reccomend you go to Tokoyo Lobby for Sushi but The Tempura, Chicken, and CA Rolls have a unique SoCAl taste to it and you cannot beat the price and nostalgia of Tokoyo Lobby Pros: CA Rolls C-Special Price$$ Cons: Parking, Wait time, Restrooms more

C is for Crap 2/2/2004

Growing up, it used to be a treat whenever we went to TL. I also used to think that Sizzler was for the rich. Anyway, TL has been on a slump ever since 1998. The food used to be so good and was somewhat cleaner than now. I don't recommend this place for a date b/c you'll have ""cheap"" written all over you. I'll only go here if it's with my guy friends. TL gives you a lot of food for your money but really, it doesn't taste too good. I usually just stick with their beef teriyaki and chicken katsu combo which is like $11.95. Service is slow and employees can be rude. U know what, take-out wouldn't be such a bad idea. more

Reasonable Japanese food but look out.. 8/25/2002

Everything here is basically good.. not fabulous. Good chicken terriyaki, eel sushi, california rolls, tempura. Now here's where you must look out.. it seems as though they recycle their tempura sauce because I always find chunks of leftover fried bits from the tempura.. it may be crispy things thrown in.. but I don't know.. [off the topic] I like to order extra terriyaki sauce because then the sauce is served hot and fresh unlike the one that is provided with one's platter. Pros: tender chicken, tempura squash good, service good Cons: no parking, not so clean, crowded more

From A to C 5/29/2002

This used to be one of my top 10 restuarants. Now the service is terrible and it feels dirty. The last two time I drove by it had a C rating. Definitely a has been. more
