On Saturday, December 1 2007, I had a party for my child scheduled at the TLC Family Skating Center. When I arrived, there was not a person who would help me... I had called an hour previous to ask to come in 15 minuted prior to set up the surprise party. The employees did not help me until 3:00.. which was the time I contracted. They then were brusk and had me pay for the party before they would allow me to enter with my armload of items. As I entered.. I was hustled to a table in the party area which was not clean, but posted with our name on it. The party previous to us had not be cleared away yet. There were at least 5 other parties surrounding us. My sister-in-law accompanied me into the rink to set up before the children arrived. I then sent her back out to wait for the children and escort them to the proper place. Once the children arrived, she began to follow them into the party. At this time, one of the employees stopped her and demanded that she pay to enter. Their reasoning was that although she was an adult attending the party, she did not have a child- so she had to pay to get in. I paid one hundred dollars for a party, 2 small pizzas and some horrible ice cream. The expectation that my daughter's aunt PAY to attend the party (she was NOT skating) was ridiculous to me. When my spouse approached the staff and asked for the manager, the lady informed us that she was also the owner. She stated that if we did not pay for his sister to enter, they would refuse service to our party and kick the children out. I paid the money so as not to upset my daughter but am very upset at the situation. I feel that the money I paid was more than enough and the customer service was the worst I have ever encountered. I will never let anyone in my family attend this place of business again.
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: Horrible Service
