WORST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN CHARLOTTE 3/8/2011

Food was DISGUSTING. I went to this restaurant for lunch today and it was horrible. The only thing that I believed which was semi-edible, was the crispy overly fried bits of wonton wrapper. I had some of each of the pre-made soups, and a bowl of the "create your own" soup. The pre-made soups were overly salted, and the "create your own" soup was a disappointing bowl which tasted of tap water, salt, and bits of rubbery shrimp. The rice, on each of the pieces of sushi I tried, was undercooked. The "authentic" bar, at the back of the restaurant couldn't even be considered food. The shrimps were completely overcooked, the fish was nearly burned and then soaked in broth, the sesame chicken was like eating paste covered bits of cardboard, and everything else had no taste other then salt. Being the first time I've been to Tin Tin, I had expected all East Asian food, but the first thing I see on the buffet is, macaroni and cheese, curly fries, regular fries, and mozzarella cheese sticks. The f more

LOVE IT 9/21/2010

It was my first time there at Tin Tin. I absolutely love it. The food is so flavorful and Oh my gosh.. the crab leg that is also included in the buffet is so gooood., it's so huge! The price is reasonable for what you get for..so many selection to chose from. It's more asian original home cook. Tin Tin is 2 hour away from where I live. I will always come back for more of the great food they have. This is a must try restaurant for people who's not afraid to spend 20 buck on great asian food. more

$66.00 for 3 people??? Really!!!??? Never AGAIN! 8/14/2010

OK, two adults and a twelve year old out to dinner tonight equals $66.00!!!??? Really???? For a buffet??? And that was with two diet sodas and a water. The price was not displayed anywhere nor was it communicated in any way by the mime that acted as our server. I thought it was going to be about $13.00 each and was pissed about having to pay only that much once we ate. Then the bill came and POW! Sticker shock! The men's room was disgusting. The sink was clogged with either throw-up shrimp shells or something. On the way out we also noticed the 73.5% health department rating placed prominently at eye-level, if you are a Lilliputian!! We will never go back. Never! For that kind of money we could have easily done Trio or Outback and been incredibly happy and well taken care of. more

Good food 8/24/2009

Wow good food at a chinese place. The buffet though was a little under choiced, but the taste was worth coming back. more

I love this place!! They have crab legs, sushi, a salad bar, a soup bar, and fresh fruit!! They are clean and have a good sanitary score. It's less expensive to go during the week than on the weekends...but me and my family love it!Who can ask for anything more?! more

So Much Food! 3/29/2008

Wow, I have never seen such a large buffet, let a lone a Chinese buffet. They have tables and tables of food. So much variety that you have to keep going back on different trips just to try it all. Only downfall is that it is a little on the pricey side. more

Unbelievable Buffet! 9/4/2006

I've never seen a Chinese Buffet before that had Peking Duck. Whenever we have guest from out of town we always take them to Tin Tin, there is something for everyone. PROS: Variet, Peking Duck! CONS: A little pricey more

WOW!! 11/3/2005

I discovered this place when I was in the mood for Chinese and wanted it NOW! I have been to almost every other Chinese buffet in my neighborhood, so I decided to give Tin-Tin a try. Boy, was I surprised...and satisfied! They had som many choices! There was sushi, dim sum, a noodle soup bar, grilled meats, and rows and rows of all sorts of entrees, sides and desserts. Oh and they had at least 5 different kids of salads! And this was only lunch time! I cannot wait to have dinner there! The best part was when I got the bill and was thrilled to learn I had stayed well within my $10 budget- it was only $7.99!! PROS: HUGE selection, yummy food, great price, elegant decor CONS: more

The Best Chinese Restaurant in Charlotte 4/24/2005

If you haven't visit Tin Tin, you have not visit the best Chinese restaurant in Charlotte! Tin Tin goes beyond the regular Hot and Sour Soup to Beef Broccoli. They have freshly made sushi's to Dim Sum. We've seen them all, but you will not see them all in one restaurant with more traditional Chinese dish available! This is the Best Chinese Restaurant in Charlotte! This coming from a Chinese person, is definitly a plus! I visit because of their Dim Sum selection, but most because of their other authentic Chinese food. Their price are a bit expensive for a college student, but visit them during the weekdays. It'll worth the 30 mins trip! PROS: Foods are often fresh!! CONS: It gets noisy during the weekends! But its just that good! more
