A few months ago, I was shopping for a new day care for my son who was turning 14 months old. He was with another day care in a better neighborhood nearby for several months. But we had to move him because he got sick too often inside that place. This place, from the outside, doesn't look like much, and the sign still says ""Time for Care"" even though it was ""5 Stars Kids Academy"" previously. I was just told that there was recent ownership change, and the new sign with the right name ""Kids R Us Academy"" would go up soon. This place is on Richmond Avenue in the neighborhood just east of the Westchase District. The shopping center could be better groomed and maintained, but it's not so bad since there are many busy restaurants there.
Anyway, my wife and I chose this day care because the fact that my baby stays inside the secured door of the building and not on the outside. The inside of this place is bigger, cleaner, and better maintained than other places I'd taken the tour. I didn't expect to see such big open space before I stepped my foot inside the front door. You could tell the difference immediately from the smell of the place that this place is cleaner. The director and staff are knowledgeable and seem to really care about my kid. I could tell because when I pick him up at the end of the day, my kid's diaper would always be dry. They would tell me about his day and, in addition, they give me a daily report that tells me about what kind of food has been given to my kid and when and how many times the diapers were changed and when he took a nap. That makes it a little bit easier for me for how I should take care of him after we get home. The best thing for my kid is that ever since he?s moved here, he doesn?t get sick nearly as often. In fact, he hasn?t had a temperature or diarrhea. And the frequent diaper rash that he used to have every other week when he was at his previous day care has become a rare thing (diaper rash is just hard to avoid if my kid has diarrhea). Small stuff like that is actually life changing for you when you?re a working parent.
Enough nice features for my kid, the nicest thing for me, the parent, about this place is that they will work with me when sometimes I?m behind on payments as long as I do my best to catch up and pay off the balance. We?ve established a good relationship and now they know I?m good for it.
Bottom line is it's been really good so far with this place both for my kid and me and my wife, and I would highly recommend it.
