little uppity but the art is solid \r missing that little family touch, willing to tattoo whatever even if it really should have been improved upon more

After 15 years of thinking about it, I finally got my first tattoo. I went to Amy at Tigar Lilly Tattoo (because of the prior reviews I read here). Amy is just a cool chic - period. She also was good to explain everything to me as she went along. She seems to be very focused when she's tattooing. During the procedure she asked me several times if it hurt. Being a tough guy I said, ""no"" (it did hurt more than I thought however). She would say, ""well I can make it hurt more - you need to earn your tattoo."" It has been about two months since I got my first tattoo. IT LOOKS GREAT!!!! Perfect lines, perfect colors, perfect placement, Amy rocks! I am heading in there today to show her and thank her. I have bounced around through several different shops looking for comfortable shop with talented artists. I had met Amy at another tattoo parlor four years ago, and heard that she moved to tiger lily. The tattoos she had done on me four years ago still had clean line and beautiful shading so when it came time to do a tribute to my dying dog (pawprint) I knew I wanted Amy to do it. I was really impressed with shop and other artists at Tiger Lily. Since then several of my friends have started pieces with other artists and they are all coming out beautifully. Tigerlilly is easily one of the best tattoo parlors in portland. Their friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere makes for a remarkable tattoo experience. The artists are extremely talented and considerate. I had an upper arm sleve done by Mathew and could not have been happier. more
