Best

Good burgers especially the Lamb burger and also enjoyed the micro brews. I liked that the noise volume was high enough that we didn't have to worry about the kids being loud.

Worst

Bad food 7/25/2006

Whenever I met my friend for lunch she would choose the Tied House because it was easy for kids to eat and/or a group. I've been there many times and each time I tried a different food and they were all bad. They do have a pretty good bread, however, that is a twisted loaf of white and brown bread. But that's it. Not worth the trouble. more

Greasy food, good beer 5/1/2006

The Tied House Brewery is a fun place to hang out. The beer is good and the building itself has a nice atmosphere and is great for large groups. This would be a good place to go for happy hour. The food is not great though. It's either super greasy fried dishes or bland boring pasta or fish. Don't go here for dinner (unless you want a burger) but do go here for some beer and appetizers. more

pub fare 3/21/2006

The Tied House Cafe & Brewery offers standard pub fare in a fun atmosphere. This is not a great place to be a vegetarian. Most people are here for the beer. I remember being slightly confused by the fact that they offer both fish & chips (chips being French Fries) and chips & salsa (chips being tortilla chips). more

Good beer and atmosphere 8/26/2005

I've been here several times with friends and it is a nice atmosphere. The beers are also pretty good and the Tied House is a good location in downtown Mountain View. Other bars and restaurants are nearby but Tied House can be fun on a Friday or Saturday night. The bartenders are fairly friendly, too. We've been back several times. more

Tied House Mt View 8/18/2005

Another local brewery/restaurant that probably started it in this area. They have a very large menu that should satisfy all tastes. My favorites are the smoked salmon fish and chips and the multiple sausage plate (apparently missing from the menu now). They also have a ton of different burgers and sandwiches (fish SW also) to choose from. Nice place to take for a quick and tasty business lunch. I gotta try that lobster hoagie one of these days. more

Great for HAppy Hour! 8/11/2005

This is a great brewery to go for happy hour on a friday. It gets you in the mood for the weekend. The beer here is great. There is a back "beer garden" that is enclosed and has heat lamps. It's agreat palce for larger groups. I personally enjoy their Amber beer... it's light, not too dark and easy on the stomach. If you are going to try the food... go for their nachos! Additionally, their popcorn shrimp is YUMMY with beer. more

The Cascade Amber is the most popular, and is quite good. The Alpine Gold ale is clean in both hop aroma and finish. Look for seasonal brews such as the strong IPA. ...
