Through The Eyes Of A Child

Our daughter was at this daycare from birth until Kindergarten (age 6). The staff there is friendly and stable. I say stable because there was low turnover of staff. As such, our daughter became like a family member with her teachers. She still asks to visit, even though it has been two years since was there. Granted, she learned a lot at home, but she also got lots of practice of pre-K skills (counting, alphabet, writing words, socialization, sharing, etc.). She always had great holiday projects, which she proudly brought home. She also developed great friendships with the other children who were there. Luckily, she still sees many of them in town and goes to public school with a couple now. Our daughter is a high achiever now in public school. We really thank the staff for giving our child an excellent headstart. She is far ahead of her classmates!! She was also very comfortable with a school setting when Kindergarten started, thanks to the daycare experience. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to the staff at Through the Eyes of a Child !!!! more

Daycare is not the word for this business. Here at Through the Eyes of a Child the teachers care about the children and most of them use personal experiences from there motherhood to treat certain situations. There is only around 40-50 kids in the center so all the care givers know every child's name. Its more like another family that I am dropping my child off to not 'daycare'. \r My child is in pre-school and they love it. I enjoy getting the daily sheets and seeing what my child is doing through out the day. They sing songs, do art projects and learn through play. Nature walks, baking and water play is what I hear about over and over again. I also like that if I have any concerns I can talk to the owner, director and any supervisor at any time. They are ready to take care of any issues I have. \r I recommend this daycare to anyone who needs a safe, fun and nurturing environment for their little one. \r Pros: A second family more

My child went to this daycare. He was in the ""yellow"" room aka the toddler room. Not only do they stay in one room all day long. In eight weeks time my child was out five of them due to getting sick. So bad that he had to get steroids shots to bring down his fever. He got ""pink eye"" twice! Also my son was always getting hurt. He got slammed into a wall, he got pushed into the toys and got cut, but the worst was when he got bite on the back so badly that it broke my son?s skin!!!!!! It left teeth marks for almost two weeks!!!! I'm sorry but for a toddler to somehow get on top of my child and bare there teeth down into him long enough to break the skin.... what the are the care takers doing where they don't notice a child climbing on top of another child? Not to mention they did nothing about it. They are always calling telling you that your child is sick and that he needs a doctors note to go back to daycare and your doctor ends up looking at you like ""you have got to be joking"". (Mind you that my child has never been sick before going there or after) When I talked to the director about it she said ""it's good for kids to get sick so they will be healthier when they are older"" So my advice it this.... If you want to always be called out of work, going to the doctors, and having to always have something happen to your child (like getting bitten) then this place is for you.... if not find ANYTHING else!!!! You will end up paying more in the log run with all the sick leave, doctors? appt, and meds that it's just better to go somewhere else and pay a little more up front!!!!! i was scared that my son would not like the daycare, he is 2 and half years old, it ended up he loves\r it here, the ladies are nice, friendly and i would highly recommend this daycare center. more
