Most ER pet facilities are out to make a buck. My dog swallowed a used medicated device. I called the emergency pet center to see if they would even just give me advice over the phone. The lady that answered was helpful. She gave me some guidelines to follow and signs to watch for over the next few days. Most places probably would have suggested I bring him in so they could charge me an arm and a leg to get the same information. more

Horrible place, they just want your money. I had a mix up and needed a refill on my dogs heart meds. I made the mistake of coming here. It didn't look like a vet, I had to ask if I was in the right place. \r Her Cardiologist is 3 hours away at the A&M Hospital, not only would they not call A&M, but they started listing tests they wanted to do before they would give a temporary refill. \r \r I realized they weren't there to help pets. All they wanted was to run up a bill with needless test. I caught on and told them they would not touch my dog. \r \r The People at the Sonterra location were helpful and only charged for the pills. It's too bad they are owned by the same group. \r \r more

GREAT CARE GREAT PLACE 4/17/2008

I took my beloved pet to the ER it stayed for a week and recovered for parvo. Yes i did have to pay a great deal but Being a responsible pet owner, I know that emergency rooms ARE going to be more expensive. I have many pets and it is great to know there is a place at night were i know my pets will be taken care of. Pros: level of care Cons: to close to heavy traffic more

Okay service but VERY expensive 1/2/2008

Unfortunately, many times my pets are injured or sick on the weekends or evenings when regular vets are closed. Since this place is open 24/7, I've had to take my pets there a couple times. One experience was good, one was bad. Both times I was charged an arm and a leg. The first time, my dog was in labor and unable to give birth. She had an emergency c-section, and 5 of the 6 puppies survived. Like most vets, they won't even see your beloved pet until you pay. Pros: Open 24 hours Cons: VERY, very expensive more
