Green, Delicious and On the Way to the Beach! 11/7/2011

Thrive has a wide selection of food from chicken to pasta to tofu dishes. They also have amazing desserts. Their cookies are out of this world! The only downside is that they are very expensive as one would expect because all their food is made from locally grown and organic items. But since the food is so healthy it is extremely filling, so you can get less. In addition, they have really good locally grown coffee and local honey. Thrive is also environmentally sustainable: they compost and recycle everything. I was fascinated by the green design of the faucet in the bathroom which I had never seen before. They are conveniently located on the way to the beach at Tybee Island. more

Thrive, a Carryout Caf? is Savannah?s first and only Green Certified Restaurant, one of only two in Georgia. Chef and owner Wendy Armstrong offers a selection of prepared dishes using fresh organic ingredients from at least 20 local farms. Other offerings: fresh produce, local meats and charcuterie, cheeses, frozen soups and casseroles, and homemade desserts. Making it easier for people to eat healthier! Thrive also offers a full catering service. more
