Avoid if you're young, flock to it if you look older than you are.... or enjoy the occasional line of coke. 7/8/2008

When there aren't shootings (I'm serious), fights or frequent coke deals in the bathroom this place can be tolerable at times. It seems if you're a young person it might be a good idea to go elsewhere because everyone there is either really old, weathered beyond their years, or is on something illicit. When there are younger women there they're usually from the dumpy strip joint across the street. The bartenders are nice for the most part, however the one called Rocky has the worst attitude of them all. Always a smart-ass remark or comment. Annoying to say the least. The drinks are slightly cheaper than some of the surrounding watering holes which can be nice if you're on a budget. Overall, the managment needs to fire the narcotic peddling employees and try to kick out all of the garbage. Until then it's still going to be the dump it's been for the past 5 or so years. Pros: Cheaper drinks, a few nice patrons, local bar, can find a good conversation at times Cons: Drunks, scumbags, narcotics salesmen, shootings, fights more

  • The Scene
When the Three Alarm Saloon claims to be "Utah's Party Place," it surely plans to give patrons a run for their money. You can't miss the building—the red flames painted on the white brick exterior signal you've arrived. Inside you'll discover eclectic antique items hanging on the walls—these bottles, helmets, license plates, and beer signs are definite conversation starters. Be sure to look up or you'll miss the suspended brassieres as you head to the bar to order sandwiches and appetizers or one of many potent specialty drinks: the paramedic, Three Alarm, Fire Water, or 911 (the names say it all).

    Entertainment
The DJ plays requests every night (with a karaoke interlude on Sundays), and these fiery patrons love to dance (the club claims to be the first in Utah to try out the Macarena). The days at the Three Alarm Saloon are mild, but the evenings aren't for the timid. Be ready to burn your candle at both ends.
