An experience. 11/9/2008

This place is beautiful. It is located on the beach right next to a wildlife preserve. This hotel is all about spoiling you and catering to your every need including a private beach retreat. I highly recommend it although it is very expensive. Perfect for that special occasion more so than a family vacation. more

Topper's - not a great experience. 8/19/2006

Be aware that this restaurant is price fixe. You will be spending $85 (or more)per person before tax, tips and beverages. I never came across this detail in any reading that I did before making reservations and it came as a rude shock. I knew it would be pricey, but not like this. There is no children's menu so this price applies to youngsters also. Pros: Lovely location Cons: Overpriced, price fixe not disclosed in literature, diners pushed to spend even more more

One of the best 3/2/2005

As fine a restaurant as you will ever go to. Impeccable preparation and a beautiful setting. Great for brunch and dinner. The menu changes according the the chef's whims, but here are some of my Topper's favorites: Tuna tartare, pecorino cheese with raw honey, lobster salad, anything they do with oysters, all desserts. The wine list here is unbelievable. You have to see it to believe it. The last time I was here, I sat about 8 feet from Robert De Niro, which was pretty cool. more

Truly Tops, One of the Best in the U.S. 1/17/2005

Easily one of the best restaurants in the U.S. I took my whole family there (Adults) for our big reunion dinner last year and we will remember this meal forever. Truly. The private boat cruise from Nantucket Town is a great add too. Superb food, excellent service, worth the high price. The Wauwinet grounds are also an amazing site! An experience for those who appreciate one of the most ""first class"" restaurants you can find anywhere. - Chris X. Moloney - Dallas, TX (Moloney Family - St. Louis, MO) Pros: Food, Ambiance, Outdoor dining/view Cons: , Hard to get to, A PRO: NO KIDS! more
