Happy Kid = Happy Parents 4/16/2010

My daughter started out in the infant home at 3 months of age and progressed to the daycare at age 1. She continues to excel and surprise us everyday. The teachers work as a team and are all very warm and caring. Ariel, the Director, is very approachable and listens to your concerns and feedback. \r \r The facility is well taken care of and I have no worries that my daughter will get injured (beyond the normal 2 year old bumps and bruises). I am impressed with the staff/parent team effort to curb inappropriate behaviors and very much appreciate the atmosphere of the extended family they give my daughter. \r \r I have, and will, continue to highly recommend this day care. They have helped me raise a very confident, outgoing, and happy 2 year old. I will definetely enroll our second child with this group when the time arises. Pros: Caring teachers; clean inside & out; healthy meals/snack Cons: Parking (at busy pickup/drop off times. more

Warm, Happy place for Kids 9/7/2009

When our daughter turned one, she left the Trike Stop Infant Home and began attending the Trike Stop. What we like and appreciate about this facility is:\r - Low adult to child ratio\r - Kind, approachable and flexible staff\r - Art, music and healthy foods each day\r - Outside play area for the one year olds is separate\r - Children play outside each day\r We would recommend this facility to anyone in the Edmonds area looking for a great place for their child!\r more

Fabulous daycare 9/1/2009

My son started at the Infant Home when he was 4 mos old and is now entering their pre-school this fall. It was so hard to leave him for the first time, but I was so reassured after meeting with Autumn and the staff at the Infant Home. After seeing them with him and all of the other children, I knew that they really cared about him and loved him almost as much as I did. He move up to the Trike Stop Daycare (1 yr+) with no problems and is now 3 and entering into the Trike Stop Pre-School which he loves!\r \r When it was time for our daughter to start The Trike Stop Infant Home we were excited to see many of the same staff still in place nearly 2 years later! She is now in the 1+ room and loves all of her teachers. \r \r The Trike Stop has great staff retention, provides detailed information on the kids daily activities and are very flexible regarding specific dietary requirements and other needs.\r \r I highly recommend the Trike Stop! I\r \r Pros: Great staff ratios, loving, friendly and attentive staff more

Great care for babies & kids 8/19/2009

My son started at the Trike Stop Infant Home at 4 mos, and while leaving him was extremely difficult at that age, Autumn and the staff were so caring I knew he'd be fine. I was always well informed about what he did during the day, what he ate, how he was doing...I really appreciated knowing how he spent his day. He moved up to the ""big boy"" Trike Stop over a year ago and seems to have a lot of fun there. He continues to get a lot of attention, and the staff genuinely seems to know the kids and care about each of them. I love the Trike Stop and recommend it highly! Pros: Attentive & caring staff, responsive to feedback more

Daycare the way you would do it yourself 8/18/2009

I came upon The Trike Stop Infant Home by luck. I found it on-line and went to visit before by first son was born. I immediately felt comfortable with the facility, staff, and owner. I visited multiple other daycare facilities, but chose Trike Stop, and never looked back. From Day 1, it was clear that the staff loved my child and that not only his physical health but also his emotional and developmental health were important to them. He was always happy to be dropped off (well, OK, for a little while he had a small degree of separation anxiety), and was always happy when I picked him up. He is now at the toddler facility, and my 8 month old is at the infant home, and they will be in The Trike Stop care until kindergarten. I find ownership and management to always be receptive to my comments. I have recommended the Trike Stop to multiple friends and acquaintances, and will continue to do so. Pros: Quality, loving childcare Cons: Occassional language barrier with staff more

Love the Quality Care 8/18/2009

We love the Trike Stop! Our son was in a different daycare as a toddler and it was downright dangerous for him. He was 12 mos and was stuck in a room with 3 year olds. Scratches, bites and bruises were not unusual. \r \r At the Trike Stop we found:\r -caring and attentive staff\r -qualiy programs with lots of extras (the Science Lady, Music Dave, the Reptile Man)\r -properly separated age ranges; ones, twos and preschoolers in different classrooms\r -low child to teacher ratios\r -breakfast, lunch and snacks provided with tuition\r -continual communication between parents and staff\r \r My son is starting kindergarten this fall and has been a happy member of the Trike Stop family for 4 years. My daughter attends and my baby will be attending the Trike Stop Infant Home. I can't say enough about the quality care we've received at the Trike Stop. Pros: Great programs and caring staff more

Parental concerns not addressed 2/14/2007

Although I was initially impressed with the cleanliness, fun playground, and small student to staff ratio, soon it seemed that there were too many kids for the staff to handle (although I was told rather defensively that they were well within State guidelines...). \r \r Why we went to another preschool:\r - A two year old was asked to leave afer being written up due to ""defiant behavior"". (C'mon, really what two year old isn't defiant at times? Why do you think it is called the ""terrible twos""?)\r - Ruined clothing, due to art projects with paints and inks that would not wash out, was not reimbursed or even apologized for, although paint smocks were provided.\r - Management is defensive when parental concerns are brought to their attention. Pros: NIce location and facilities, Kulsoom is kind and a wonderful teacher. Cons: Pinesol, management doesn't listen, parental involvement discouraged. more
