It's the best... 3/11/2004

The Trappe is the only place to go to socialize in the Collegeville area. The bartenders are friendly and your glass is never empty. The management is always present, and the owner is very much involved in running the show. I would recommend this to anyone over the age of 21 for happy hour. They have a delicious menu with different specials every night. My son's favorite is the tavern prime rib, minus the onions. Keep up the great service and friendly atmosphere. Pros: Good Food, Great Service, Variety of Food more

Memories of Ursinus... 1/25/2004

Ahhh the good 'ol Trappe. Live bands, good food and a crazy college crowd intermixed with "townies". I have nothing but fond memories of the Trappe. This is one of the few places you could sit down at the bar and the bartender gets you "your" drink, already knowing what you want. Pros: inexpensive, good bar food, fun staff Cons: long wait some nights more

Trappe isn't all it's cracked up to be 10/8/2003

My friends and I were going to the Trappe for a couple of years. After a couple of years, you would assume at least some of the bartenders would get to know you. Unfortunately, this just wasn't the case. No matter how often I went or how large of tips I left, the bartenders never treated me or my friends with any respect. It is for this reason I can't recommend this bar. Pros: good food, excellent game room, good beer specials Cons: bad staff, slow service more

The Real Trappe Tavern 10/8/2003

I was an avid Trappe Goer for years and just got tired of the lowsy attitude from the staff. The female bartenders were good but the males ones did what they want when they want with no regard for customer service what so ever. If they didnt feel like serving you then they just plain wouldn't! The manager of the bar wasnt nice. The bouncers didnt even try to be friendly. And the worst of it all was they closed the second floor for private partys until like 10 at night where all the games are on very popular drinking nights like Fridays. The food is good and the alcohol prices are the best anywhere. Oh, and there are way, way to many kids running around till all hours of the night. more

Good food for a good price 7/28/2002

Who can beat $13.95 for all you can eat king crab legs on a Monday Night. Or, $11.95 on Wednesday for Maine Lobster. The Trappe Tavern Rib sandwich has my son swearing to bring his whole fraternity from Pittsburgh for a weekend with Mom. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Food, Casual Cons: Crowds more
