I loved this place. Great atmosphere, great service and good food. Lovedsitting back and listening to the band play and having a few drinks.

Okay --- the food was excellent - but let's face it folks - it's barbeque! For the prices you would have thought we were eating at Bones that being said -portions were huge - too big in fact -- ( hey cut the portions and the prices - there's an idea) very folksy, very quaint - off the beaten path - and they have music later starting at 10 or so would i go back --? Maybe for the bluegrass- and when I get a raise. Pros: GREAT FOOD - GREAT MUSIC Cons: too $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ more

Reminds me of home. 6/20/2007

I'm from a small (country) town in Alabama, and The Hollow reminds me alot of home. Not only with the good ole time BB-Q, but the atmosphere is just like you would see in a country town. From the old wood used in the building itself, to the pictures and antiques that are scattered about. You can also buy buckets of beer! If you love BB-Q, and a country theme, by all means pay a visit to Swallow at the Hollow. Pros: All Good Cons: All beer is already opened when served in a bucket. more

Best Quality BBQ Ribs In ATL! 7/29/2006

Without a doubt, The Swallow serves the best quality ribs in the metro area. And that's saying alot, because Atlanta does have some great Q Joints! They are meaty, tender, and you can add your own sauce when they are brought to the table-Mild to Hot! And we like it hot! The sides are basically the same as across the street at Bill Greenwood's other wonderful location, Greenwood's! The Mac N' Cheese is wonderful, as well as the three-bean BBQ beans. Love the texas toast and biscuits. Don't eat meat? Try the tasty friend green tomato sandwich with gouda. Yum! All the deserts are made in house! If you are too full, do yourself a favor and take one home. I wished we lived closer to Roswell, so we could go more often. Pros: Tender, Meaty Ribs-Great BBQ Sauce, Sides! Very tasty indeed. However, get there early and you may be trapped in the small gravel parking lot by other motorists. Get there late and you may not get a spot without blocking someone else in. The gouda grilled cheese is excellent for a quick bite. Everything that I've had there is above average. Service is average. As for the signage mentioned by another reviewer - get over it. best BBQ ribs and sides in Georgia 2/3/2005

Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, this wooden cabin serves up some of the finest baby back ribs that I have had anywhere. The tomato based sauce is sweet with molasses and the mustard based sauce is good too. As far as the side dishes go, the macaroni and cheese was SO GOOD! The brunswick stew is good and the three bean baked beans were good. The cabin is really cozy inside. All in all, this place is homecooking at it's finest. Starve yourself for a couple of days, then go and order the chopped pork platter, get yourself a side of Mac & Cheese & another of beans, be sure to order the biscuits. Mix the regular and the hot sauces on the pork!!! Then, order the best bananna desert in the world. If you can finish it, you were hungry!
