She was treated with the most discourteous treatment she has ever run into - and she has been getting spa treatment for several decades! First of all the laser hair removal machine they use is ancient. It barely works. I feel like I keep going and see hardly any change. Secondly the receptionists are nasty. All of them. These people beg for tips. I always tip anyway but if you ask me it makes me not want to. That is very rude. A tip is not a requirement but is based on service. I bought a groupon that had 3 treatments for $99. They told me that I would have to tip a percentage of the retail price. They should feel ashamed of themselves to conduct themselves that way. I definitely think there are better choices out there. more

Skin Spa's greatest talent is in spamming, but their staff seems to be rejects from mediocre salons. They constantly advertise sales because they must have to rely on new customers to generate any business. I rather foolishly thought that my first two terrible encounters there were just due to being unluckily matched with new talent in the salon, but I persisted as their location is wonderfully convenient for me. Alas, even their senior staff is talentless and prone to lies. When I inquired about laser hair removal, I was surprised to hear that their method was painless, as I had experienced the procedure at a proper medical spa and remembered wincing a bit even through the numbing cream. She was a liar, the treatment was wasted, but I returned to complete the cycle after purchasing my own numbing cream. Each time I visited, I was told that I should tip them based on the book price for an individual treatment_they were insisting on receiving a $30 tip for each 5 minute treatment. By the end of the cycle of 5 treatments ($550), I found myself more furry than when I first arrived...fortunately I am fair haired and not so furry, because my experience with Skin Spa has convinced me to leave nature alone for a while. I recommend avoiding this salon as you would a plague. more

This place is the worst! \r I booked a cellulite treatment on lifebooker with them. I called to ask about the procedure and was told that it is 45 minutes long and that usually results can be seen after 3 times. I called back a few days later to book the appointment for me and my friend and was told the same thing - 45 minutes and results. Plus, I got a call the day before confirming our appointments. When we showed up for the appointment the guy at the front desk told us that one of us had the cellute treatment and the other had a facial, that the cellulite was only 20 minutes and the facial was 45 mins. When I told him specifically the number of times I called to ask and to confirm they said it was impossible that someone would have booked that, blaming me that I booked the wrong thing. Finally they agreed that we would go one after another after almost 10 to 15 minutes of trying to figure out the mess. My friend went in first and when she came out she was not happy - the girl that did the procedure on her had a condencending tone, plus she cut the treatment 5 minutes short and said that it makes a difference. All the time we lost trying to figure out what they did and they reduced her treament although we have paid for a full one. They told me that I would have to reschedule. \r While I was waiting someone called and I could hear the guy at the front desk being rude and disrespectful to the person on the other line to apparantly was trying to cancel an appointment. \r In short, rude and disrespectful people that do not own up to their own mistakes, do not take care of their customers and try to rip them off. \r I will never go back and I recomend not going.\r \r ps: the girl that did the treatment told my friend that it takes about 8 sessions to see results - slight difference from the three sessions mentioned in the first place. more

I recently had my first treatment at the spa after a consultation. I decided to get the laser genesis treatment to help ""plump"" up my skin a little bit and get rid of some acne scarring. I was a little nervous because this was my first laser treatment, but my esthetician explained everything beforehand which put me at ease. The treatment was sooo relaxing and my skin was glowing afterwards. I decided to get a package of six ---which was super affordable!--so that I can continue my skin care regiment and hopefully continue to see more improvement!!! I was completely clueless as to which treatment I should receive for my face bc I have very problematic skin so I went in for a consultation and walked out glowing. The woman who tended to me suggested their signature facial with microdermabrasion. Over the course of the week, my skin become clearer, less flakey and looked fresh and clean. \r \r I will def be going back and would highly recommend a visit. I brought my girlfriend for a Genesis facial and I got laser hair removal for my back and shoulders. The spa is in a great location in Soho and is very clean. Had nice music and ambiance. It was my first time in a spa and getting this treatment, the woman who took care of me was VERY knowledgeable about the treatment, was very nice, and walked me through the process. My girlfriend loved her technician as well. She saw immediate results from her facial. Two weeks after my laser hair removal treatment, I started seeing the expected great results. My first experience at the Skin Spa in Soho was quite wonderful. The receptionist was very welcoming and knew exactly who I was before I even told her who I was! I obviously had an appointment, but it was still nonetheless nice to be so warmly greeted! I filled out the questionaire about my skin and drank a cold glass of water with lemon that the receptionist had brought out. After waiting just a few minutes (finally a place that runs on time!), my esthetician came out and introduced herself. She was very professional and friendly. She took a look at my skin and recommended some services, which I followed. She explained thoroughly and ""held my hand"" throughout the entire procedure(Peel & Facial). I was so satisfied with the service and professionalism that I bought their membership package on the spot (what a deal!). Just hours after my appointment I could see and feel that my skin was more vibrant than before. I will be going back in the near future(2 weeks from now), and many more times after that :). P.S. my esthetician was proud of the service she provides. She esteems herself in providing affordable facials without compromising the quality of products the spa provides.
