Built into a renovated cottage, the retreat looks like a pretty sachet bag (you can smell aromatherapy from the parking lot). Treatment areas branch off from the main salon like small bedrooms--some are tucked into the back of the building, while others are downstairs on the basement level.The ServicesThe menu's selection includes mud wraps, hydrotherapy, glycolic facials and detoxification. The signature service is the Ayurvedic Oil Treatment, a supposedly ancient healing practice that involves a fine stream of hot oil poured on the forehead. Also unique is the spa's meticulous approach to something as simple as a manicure--count on extra lotion and a hand massage. When scheduling a facial, allow plenty of time for repeated layers of very deep exfoliation.
