I dropped off a lot of good stuff. The guy in back in charge of taking the items is so rude. I ask where do I put the items and he replies really nasty "fill out the paper". I fill out the paper and instead of reading what I wrote, he ask nasty " what do you have' so I tell him. He then says let me go see. He goes to the van and says very rudely to put certain items in the right of the building and proceeds to get a cart. He looked so bothered doing his job. it was terrible. more

You know that Christmas is right around the corner when you spy a Salvation Army bell ringer. Dropping a few bucks into the red kettle is as good as stuffing a stocking for a needy child. That kind of easy giving may be harder to do this holiday season as The Army is learning that volunteers to staff the kettles and soliciting donations are hard to come by. Donations to the red kettles are not only used during the holidays, but are a significant part of the year's operating budget supporting shelters, food pantries, youth and senior programs, people in need of utility, housing and prescription assistance as well as all other programs and services.
