Best

Although people appreciate comments about establishments in the Portland Metro area, yours were truly hateful and full of contempt. You obviously have a personal issue with her, ...

Worst

The owner of the place is cooky, cool and friendly with an razor wit edge. You want to like her but then I've seen her chase people down (literally) for not leaving a tip for her ...

Rock on Roxy 2/27/2003

I love the Roxy. Good ol' fashioned greasy spoon food. The staff has a quick wit, sharp tongue, and great service. If you aren't able to understand such things you might think the service is bad, but I think it's quite quaint myself. more

No Excuse! 2/25/2003

Encountering bad service is one thing, blatant hostility from a server is another. This establishment doesn't like serving people without being rude and should have their staff schooled in tact, courtesy, and what food service is about. They are pathetic, and you should not waste your money, time or good mood on this plac. Pros: price, location, gay friendly Cons: poor service, average food, long wait times more

this place rox!! 11/18/2002

We went to Portland to visit a friend and she brought us here and it is the best place. The food was wonderful and the peole really kicks ass. more

unique 10/14/2002

The Roxy is one of the most unique restaurants i've ever been to. Centered in downtown, it is the perfect restaurant for those late-night cravings. It has down-home style cooking that is delicious and cheap. I reccomend everyone try this restaurant! Pros: food, atmosphere, service Cons: availablilty more

Better than Best! 10/3/2002

I took my girlfriend out for breakfast the other day based on a recommendation I got from co-workers. We cannot believe that we have found better than the best, for breakfast. Although they are open 24 hours a day, except Mondays, breakfast at the Roxy was a trip to the days of yesteryear when eggs and hashbrowns were to die for. We are making the Roxy our favorite place for breakfast! Pros: Close to the Max, Downtown, Open 24 hours a day more

The Roxy Rox!!! 8/30/2002

My friends and I love the roxy!!! We head there for the cheesy fries and the cheap prices. The atmosphere rules, we haven't found anywhere else like it. The service is fabulous, they're all so nice!!! more

HEART ATTACK CITY 8/28/2002

A bunch of us went in and ordered off the breakfast menu. I have never seen that much food on one plate, and it was a huge plate. The food was incredible, the service was fantastic, and we love the Lovely Suzanne who was the most fabulous hostess. more

whatever 8/19/2002

what a hoot every different kind of person you can think of and then some. Great jukebox, the pancakes are huge and the country gravy is homemade. Pros: great jukebox, excellent java, esspr, cheese fries Cons: crowded graveyard, non smoking, no beer more

Got a late night snack attack? The Roxy 8/14/2002

Got a late nite snack attack? The Roxy is where it's at. The food is plentiful, not to mention the taste. Your menu offers a wide variety of choice. The decor makes you feel right at home. Customer Service, the finest around. Suzanne You and your staff are the best. You won't find a better place, so stop on by and get your next fix. Personally I have to recommend the BIG FAT HEART ATTCK!!!! It's the best. Cam more

Of course the staff is rude! 8/14/2002

Yes the staff can be rude; payback is hell for rude customers! Suzanne's new menu cracks me up. Lots of food, lots of grease, lots of salt. Salt and grease are what make food flavorful! There are vegetarian choices and those are also good. Hard to get into on weekends after hours - sometimes it's who you know; there's not a soul there who isn't worth knowing. Hard to keep a bathroom looking nice with so many flakes in the world, so why try? Be kind to your server and they'll work their butts off, or be a jerk and starve! Pros: Purposefully rude, Coronary disease, Menu from hell Cons: Busy weekends, Parking, Street trash kids more

fantastically weird 8/12/2002

This is a must see for everyone. Great food and the clientelle make the day. Pros: atmosphere, the customers Cons: busy, parking problems more

where to eat when you're almost broke 7/30/2002

Not a place to take your mom, unless you think she won't mind ordering Big Ass Biscuits and Gravy. The food is good; the names of each dish are even better. Enjoy the punk rock/drag queen atmosphere after a show! Pros: cheap, open late, good variety Cons: hard to find parking, busy weekend nights more

A queer place for queer people 7/26/2002

A small greasy spoon sandwitched into the Glamour District in NW Portland, The Roxy combines the sexy nature of life with the punk in you. For a $1.25 for a pot of coffee that hammers you on the first cup, and $3.50 for the plate of the best cheese fries you will find, the low prices combined with the friendly service have made The Roxy a staple for the neighborhoods' residents since its opening in 1994. Pros: Cheap and tasty food, good environment, good coffee Cons: poor neighborhood more

Food, Atmosphere, and CHEAP too! 7/23/2002

More food than you can hold down for the change in your pocket- and the staff is involved in LOTS of stuff around the community as well. (No, I do not work there or date anyone who does!) Its nice to know that even though the food is cheap, its good and your money goes to do good things right here at home! Scott Seibert Pros: Cost, Service, Funky atmosphere Cons: Parking SUCKS in a ba more

Roxy has moxy 7/18/2002

Great place to chill out when the sidewalks roll up, especially if you are a minor or have minor friends! :) The most kickin' jukebox as well and hella good bevvies. If nothing else, amuse yourself just reading the menu! Pros: menu, service, style Cons: need to park n' walk more

Is this a joke? 6/26/2002

The roxy is the worst ""diner"" (if you could call it that) I've ever been to..They raised their prices and so it costs just as much to eat there as it would at any applebees, and yet you get horrible attitude and lame service..then they expect a tip. The roxy is never clean and always has street kids out in front asking for change and cigarettes. The only reason people go there is because it is 24hrs or they just couldnt stumple anywhere else after the bars close. The food is alright but everything on their menu has grease in it. Altogether a complete waste of time and money. Pros: 24 hours, area Cons: bad service, bad food more

Best for after bar hopping! 6/14/2002

This restaurant is the best for any type of craving. They have awsome breakfasts, sandwiches, burgers, fries, salads, and the best ""diner coffee"" in town. If you are just getting off work at 3-4am then stop by and get a breakfast before going home! The people are fun and entertaining (both patrons and servers). The atmosphere is just what you want after bar hopping. more
