My personal experience could only be described as a living nightmare. The "Therapy" I experienced was nothing more than me relating and taking responsibility for my problems, the therapist telling me that I was a worthless piece of trash for ever having those problems, and that I would ALLWAYS have those problems. One of the most glaring things (of many) missing from The Raleigh House of Hope actually is HOPE. Something not missing from the place was an abundance of drug use. Prescription drug abuse was very common, but street drugs were more available there than on the actual street. Thankfully, I was able to find a program locally that was safe, reasonably priced, and, most importantly, respectful of my own difficulties. Degrading people into recovery DOES NOT WORK. And the word "Hope" belongs absolutely nowhere in this business's name.
