Be warned.. 8/27/2013

Avoid if you can... I read the reviews prior to moving in and really wish I had heeded their words! I am hoping this review will save someone else the trouble & headache. \r \r To begin, we are 2 very clean professional adults, perfect rental history, never late with bills. We rented an apt on the bottom floor with the top of the line options available. \r \r So the down and dirty on Forbes based on my 10month experience...\r \r 1. Rodents in our apt. With no offered solution... Instead we were told we were "placed on the rodent list". It was close to the end of our lease, but we never saw anyone else regarding this.\r \r 2. Very unproffessional when talking with office personal regarding anything. In one instance, I went in to ask why we had been charged late fees for rent that we had been paid on time, during which the employee sighed deeply and rolled their eyes the entire time. \r \r 3. Received multiple "final warning" notices regarding them stating they had not received a copy of rental more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/14/2013

This is the worst apartment complex in Kirkland. Avoid at all costs. \r \r You will never get your deposit back, no matter what you do. \r \r Management is rude and uncaring. \r \r They over charge for services, including paying rent on line, which breaks down and then Forbes sent me a late fee of over 100 dollars, and even though it was their fault made me pay. \r \r There is dog crap everywhere, the pool should be shut down and the gym is a joke. \r \r My car was broken into twice in one year. more

Fine until you deal with Front Office 7/28/2011

The grounds are nice, the aparments are nice, it's ridiculously overpriced and the front office consists of a bunch of lying, arrogance, nasty women who have perfected the art of talking to the tenants and people in general in a rude, condescending arrogant manner. So if you want to deal with being treated like a second rate citizen, go for it. Lived in the complex for four years and have yet to have ONE of them treat me in a respectful manner. A bunch of bitches... Oh and be prepared to pay through the nose for the water/sewer that you subsidize the overwatered grounds and swimming pool. more

It's SOOOO Quiet 7/13/2011

Ok, first off, yes bad reception for my sisters iPhone, but my tmobile android works great. I moved in in April, SUPER quiet at night. I love the ribbity frogs in the creek. My sister and I love to sit in the hottub and watch the bats at sunset. Me and my girlfriend do our workout on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is perfect cuz the gym is almost never packed AND they're going to give me 300 bucks to get my friend to move in. LOVIN IT! more

My android is better than your iPhone =P 5/4/2011

I have tmobile (the android galaxy) which has great service, at&t sucks whereever you go anyway, thats why iPones are a rip off. I just moved in and adore my neighbors. the maint guys painted me some highlight walls, I got everything unpacked and its perfect. I just had a couple I met on the walking trail over for a bit (I really just wanted SOMEONE to see my apt after ALL the work I did) they have lived here for 6 years! Aside from a few corky things that go with all apartments, they arent looking to move any time soon which is a releaf. I hope to show off my trendy new apartment to anyone else I can drag in off the street, lol. ^_^ more

Cell Phone Dead Zone - Cable Problems 7/6/2010

Cell Phone Dead Zone & Cable Problems 7/5/2010

They also negelect to tell you the cell phone service is horrible to nothing at all. This complex is a dead zone for calls. Comcast also has alot of problems with the cabeling; regular cable service outages are common. After the lease the cost goes up alot on month to month, beware, not much notice on this. Parking violations are not addresses and often a problem. The grass is always soaked and not very useful; lakes bring the mosquitoes. PASS Pros: Nice to Look At Cons: Cell Service, Cable & Parking more

Park At Forbes Creek is fare 6/19/2009

I lived at the Park for about 2 years and had numerous mold problems on the ground floor apartment. The turn over rate of staff was too frequent to keep things consistent. more

Good location, not so good maintenance 6/19/2009

We lived at the "Park" for 2 years. The ground floor apartments were moldy (not a huge surprise in WA) but also rotting, to the point that we put a hole in the floor (almost fell through). We were blamed because of our pet, and told that the floor was rotted because of him, after only a year. Some of the staff was helpful, but they were changing office workers constantly, so it was inconsistent. more

Poor Living 11/12/2008

Lived in Park at Forbes Creek for over a year and had a number of issues. I supposedly moved into a newly renovated apartment, but there were tons of short cuts taken to get me in on time. For example, some carpet didn't quite go wall to wall, cupboards would run in to eachother, and multiple dishwasher problems. Overall small sized apartment relative to rent.\r \r The clubhouse was open about 10% of the total time I was there. Always under construction. \r \r The area is less than desirable and cornered off some industrial area short of Totem Lake. It is at least a drive to Juanita or DT Kirkland.\r \r The ponds are not well maintained, and although the wildlife is cool, it brings in a ton of insects which seemingly make their way into apartments.\r \r Apartment staff not competent. more

Nice Park 8/24/2006

This is a nice little park on the shores of Lake Washington which is pretty isolated from the rest of the city. There is wonderful wildlife there and great walking trails. They are short but it's a nice place to spend a peaceful afternoon. more
