Really good pizza! Huge portions! They really pile on the toppings! Ive been going to this place for the past 15 years, still as good as ever!

Worst

I have been to The Pie too many times and received undercooked pizza. Its a super cool place to hang out. The pizza there just isn't my thing anymore.

i've said it before and I'll say it again, pizza in utah sux. the pie is decent and probably as good as your gonna get in SLC to bad its no chicago style or NYC thin crust. The Pie is good don't get me wrong, its just not great. Before you wuestion my views on pizza ask yourself, ""where in Utah can I get a good slice?"", I mean a slice and only a slice. Nowhere. Pizza Only a College Student Could Love 10/6/2003

Yeah the atmosphere is great, but the pizza is definitely an acquired taste that I haven't been able to acquire. Too much cheese makes for uncooked toppings underneath. A fun college joint, but that's about it. Try Stoneground or Rusted Sun instead. Pros: beer, cavelike atmosphere Cons: no parking more

Discusting... 9/8/2003

Hello. Can I have some pizza with my cheese? The pizza had so much cheese on it I couldn't taste any of the pepperoni or good sauce underneath. It was horrible. I could feel myself getting fatter from all that greesy cheese. It wasn't just my pizza either. The people next to me complained about it too and the people to the left of me had to remove the cheese from their pizza so they could taste the toppings. I heard that The Pie was the best pizza place in town but honestly I think Papa Murphy's is much better. I'll never eat at The Pie again. The atmosphere was fun, though. Overall a great college hangout, but if you're planning to bring home leftovers to be reheated later, get your pizza elsewhere. The cheese concoction they use tastes great at the time, but doesn't reheat well at all. more

Tradition or Legend? 6/4/2003

The Pie is great, what can I say. It's in the basement of an old university shopping area. Writing all over the wall. Pizza and Beer. It doesn't need to be anything esle. It's a Pizza place and it's open late. I don't know if the Pizza is the best in town but it's good. And it's really good late at night when you're really hungry and have been drinking. This makes this the ideal Pizza joint. It's not trying to be anything else. Bravo!!! Pros: Original, Open Late, Locally Owned Cons: Crowded, Hard to find, College Crowd more

I lived in Orem Utah almost 20 years ago and I still remember the pizzas that we ordered and how good they were. I wondered if they were still in business after all these years, but I see that they are and it doesn't surprise me. They make the best pizza in the country as far as I am concerned. This place ROCKS! I've been going there for a few years now. You can order Pizza by the slice here, AND don't forget the fact they have the largest pizza (I don't know how many inches it is )I've ever seen anywhere for those times the whole office follows you up there. more

The Worst Pizza in Utah 2/2/2003

The location and ambience of the pie are pure hectic college frenzy. The food, on the other hand . . . The pizza is over-greased, over-cheesed, and undercooked. They put the meat under the cheese, which prevents it from being cooked even a little, leaving it raw. Other ingredients are left on top, but really, if I order black olives, two jars on one pizza is really too much. If I'd wanted the jar, I'd have bought one. The Pie Pizzeria has the best pizza in the state, and possibly in the country. It is so thick and cheesy, and the spices and dough are just perfect. Its a good place to unwind and have some grub with your friends. It beats the Pizza Hut on campus hands down. You have to plan when you go so you dont wait an hour for your pie but a little bit of planning can take care of all of your problems.
