Great experience, service and food 5/26/2008

I hosted a graduation party here last week for a group of 18. The whole experience was very plesaant and professional. Reservations, changes in the number of guests and their contact with me was professional. The location is perfect, sitting on Bristol Harbor and looking out on beautiful ocean vistas. \r \r The waitstaff was very helpful and attentive. They recommended a number of appetizers for our party and they were all exceptional: crab cakes, calimari, clams casino, scallops, onion rings and smoked salmon. The entrees were fresh, well prepared and of a good size. I had the lobster salad and it was very good and the portion size was good. The wait staff was excellent, never rushing us and always available for refills. Management was also friendly and accomodating. \r \r I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning. RIP OFF!! CALL THE COPS!!! 7/24/2007

This place has always been expensive, $40 for a stuffed lobster. I was there on 7/22/07 and paid $66. $132 just for two lobsters, I don't mind paying for anything, but I hate to be ripped off. They can stuff them because I will never go back there again. Cons: RIP OFF more

Overated 12/14/2006

The Lobsterpot is one of the most overated restaurants I have been to. Small portions, expensive, tastless food and spotty service at best. At one time this was the place to go for lobster prepared just about every and any which way possible, this is no longer the case. There are plenty of restaurants serving better lobster and seafood. When they try to deviate from seafood to pasta the food if possible is worse, the sauce leaves much to be desired. The only upsides are the view and the new outdoor patio. Pros: View, outdoor patio Cons: Tastless food, spotty service more

Over-rated establishment, average food 12/22/2005

We have visited the Lobster Pot twice in the last twelve months. Our most recent visit was on a cold night, consequently our ""romantic"" table by a window ended up drafty and cold. The seafood was average - others have already commented on the food issues, and I agree. Two visits - a disappointment both times - we won't be back. more
