do not use this company , i took my Ford F-250 in for repair, i was told to drop it off at 8am and someone would call in a few hours with a quote for the repair. Well that never happened so i called them at 1pm and still did not have a Quote ready....so i called at 3:00pm and still no quote ready, then i finally got a call at 3:20pm to tell me that they cant find the problem. (well when I drop it off I told them in detail what the problem was, felt like the wheel was lose , and it make a grinding sound , and the auto four wheel drive is not working.) they told me that they put it on the lift and spun the wheel and found nothing. never took it for a test drive. that's when i could see they have no idea of what they are talking about i asked for my truck back. when i got to my truck and tried to drive a way is was stuck in fourwheel drive and i could not drive it so i when back in to talk to the service manager and was told they would not like to work on my truck and i told him i would love to leave but its stuck in fourwheel drive and cant . on my way out i ran into the technician he told me they did not even take the wheel off to check to see whats wrong because they are to busy. do not use these guys Pros: null Cons: null more

I gave them 2 stars only becasue the work was done in a timely manor and apparently done correctly. Otherwise the experience was just so-so. We were charged new price for a reconditioned alternator. i was told the repairs would include a new one. Its like a $200.00 difference between what the shop charged for the alternator and the same part number online. I know there are huge mark ups in the auto repair industry but for that price we could just go to the dealer and get new OE parts and service for the same price if not less. Like i said seems like an ok shop but Id just rather have new original parts than aftermarket reconditioned parts if they are gonna charge me the same. Nevermind that the estimate over the phone included a new one and i got a "REMAN" or whatever. more

I have no clue why anyone would give them a good review! In fact all the review's on this website are written by the employees of Thousand Oaks Automotive. The list of complaint's I have would not began to fit on this page, so remember if you aren't car "smart" then always get a second opinion! more

We and my family have been using 1000 Oaks for over 13 years, have recommended them and have no negative comments. If you have a problem that did not appear to get corrected initially, take your vehicle back and they will make it right. Ask for David - KDR more

David, Dave and Paul really know their business. Their staff of mechanics do an excellent job. They have always been fair, provide options, take the customers issues seriously and fully explain what's needed and the process to addressing the issue. If I've had a problem after repairs they fix it in a timely manner. Their price is higher, but competitive, it's well worth the Customer Service and peace of mind. more

I have always been satisfied with Thousand Oaks Automotive. I have been dealing with them for years and with many different vehicles. They always have a quick response. Every time I need to get in they make sure to take me and schedule my vehicle. Even when I had to get a vehicle towed in they were quick in responding. They are very friendly at Thousand Oaks. I had a very good experience at Thousand Oaks Automotive. They are very friendly and always have freadh coffee in the morning. I like that they are very detailed and they explain exactly whats wrong with your car before doing any repairs and you don't feel your being taken advantage of. I like that if there going to be taking a long time with your can more than a day they will assist in fixing you up with a rent-a-car I also like that they offer you a ride home to work ect.... I have been a customer of Thousand Oaks Automotive for about 12 or 13 years. They have worked on multiple cars for our family and have taken good care of us. We have continued to use Thousand Oaks Automotive for 2 main reasons: their quality of work and their service mentality. The work is done correctly the first time. In fact, in all the years we have been using them, I find it difficult to recall if I ever had to take a vehicle back because an issue did not get resolved the first time. In terms of their service mentality, they have been very accommodating in emergency situations. They work you in as best they can and really try to take care of their customers. I recommend Thousand Oaks Automotive because of the very professional work they do and their well-meaning approach to meet or exceed the customer's expectations. I was broken down on the side of the road one afternoon in 35 degree weather. I called the guys at Thousand Oaks Automotive to arrange a tow to their shop to find out why my truck stalled out. They had someone there in 30 minutes, had my truck diagnosed as a bad fuel pump, and had me back on the road the very next morning. All at a price that I thought was very fair. I found T. Oaks Auto to be friendly and fast. My car had to be towed in on a Monday and it was ready to drive away Tuesday. The prices are a bit much but the work was done right. more

The experience I had with this Automotive company was horrible. Bottom line is that they diagnosed I had bad suspension and all they did to diagnose this is drive my car...thats it! They said I needed new struts and springs without even looking at them. They were never pulled from the vehicle. When I decided I did not want to do business with them, I went to pick up my car. They ended up charging me for inspecting the car...never mentioned that before I took it in. Over $30 for some guy to drive my car. Turns out the springs were in good condition, nothing wrong with them.($70 each saved). I did have the struts changed($75 each) at another shop. They wanted to charge over $600 for the whole thing. I cant stand when automotive shops try to take advantage of people. Whatever happened to doing honest business. Cons: Don't expect a real Diagnosis of the problem more

I used Thousand Oaks Automotive because of their "AAA" rating and their support from a local news affiliate. I was very disappointed. Not only were their prices (labor) inflated, they treated me like I was an idiot. By the time I left there I was ashamed to be driving a used car with any issues at all! I wish I could say that they talked down to me, but I can't because they barely talked to me at all... and truly made me feel like "a woman had stepped into a man's world." Funny thing is, they were the third company I had been to trying to diagnose an issue in my vehicle. After some on-line research, I found out the problem for myself and went to them and asked them to fix it. So I am not the idiot that they obviously thought I was. I went in for an oil change and to fix the minor issue. They would not fix my issue unless I let them do some other work on it as well, they proceeded to point out a list of other things that was wrong. One was that my transmission fluid was dirty.
