Best

I built my beautiful Jones Home in McKay's Mill and can truly say it was a wonderful experience! My builder was on top of everything and always let us know what progress was being...

Worst

Terrible warranty support. Had an issue with our HVAC system, Hiller found that the original unit was installed with a piston backwards (not wear and tear). So I called Jones thin...

Editorial review from Citysearch 9/3/2015

Everyone is raving about their new house in their reviews, but wait until you reach the one-year mark and have the person come out and inspect for warranty work. They love to tout themselves as having a great warranty but let's be honest. They are just like every other warranty that comes with anything. They want to be able to say they have a warranty to make people feel better about a purchase, but when it comes down to it, they don't want to back anything except for very minor issues. It's a joke.\r \r We had some defects on our house that have very clearly occurred over the period of time (one year) that we have been living here. Parts of bricks are chipping and falling from various locations on the house. It's obvious that the exposure of parts of the brick on our house is new, as it's not the same color as the brick that's been exposed since the house was built. The inspector says it's been like that since we purchased the house and we just didn't notice it when we moved in. \r \r Just a warning - this is what you'll be dealing with when you're dealing with this organization. Good luck!!! more

Shameful 2/22/2013

My experience with The Jones Company has been truss uplift which causes tape failure, drywall damage, and cracks every winter, hundreds of screw pops, moldy lumber, a window fell out, another window leaked, gas water heater was missing flue to vent carbon monoxide gas, live wires in attic, insufficient roof step flashing, three cracked pipes installed and that is just the short list. If you must buy from Jones please hire a structural engineer to supervise the building process. Saying customer service is poor would be giving the Jones Company a huge compliment. Anyone having issues with this builder or needing information regarding my experience may contact me at becarefulwithjonescompany@gmail.com. more

RUN the other way!!! Nightmare at McKay's Mill 3/10/2011

Purchased a home in McKay's Mill and have nothing but problems. Quality is terrible and so is their attitude. They do not care if you loose hours and hours at your job while they play with repair list. Better have a good attorney if you are even going to look their way because they will not live up to their contract, don't even listen to the agents who want to tell you what a great company they are. They will NOT buy back the home even though it says they will in the contract and they will NOT extend your warranty. Have lived here 8 months and have never dealt with a company that does not appreciate their clients like Jones. You will get 100% better customer service at Walmart!!! more

The Jones Co Rocks! 12/30/2010

I built my beautiful Jones Home in McKay's Mill and can truly say it was a wonderful experience! My builder was on top of everything and always let us know what progress was being made.(He even brought us Christmas cookies baked by his wife!) My sales team was great and made the entire process fun and exciting. At our final walk thru, my husband and I found zero items for our list and went strait to closing! When we sold our Jones Home, the new buyer brought in a private home inspector who was VERY thorough and was surprised to find so FEW items needing attention, even after the years we had lived there! Jones Co's warranty team is amazing, and they helped us to deliver a better-than-new home to the new owners!\r \r My family absolutely loved our home, from the plan design to the material quality to the exceptional service provided to us. We have many friends who live in Jones Homes and they are so happy that is the home-buying decision they made! Communities are planned out to look and feel beautiful. Home designs are constantly being changed and updated to create visual character and appeal. Events are held in some of the Model Homes to help everyone get to know their new neighbors. And many of my closest friends came to me through my Jones experience!\r \r Not only do I recommend that YOU build a Jones Co Home, I am in fact thinking of building my 2nd one!\r \r Love You Jones Team!!! more

The Jones Company is the BEST! 12/11/2010

On behalf of my myself and my family I want to express how satisfied we are with our Jones Company home in Hendersonville. Not only do we absolutely love the floor plan and community but we love the builders too. They are one of a kind!We received from the Sales Team, Builders, and the Warranty Staff exceptional and personal service since the day we moved in. They have gone as far as just stopping by to see if we needed anything after we moved. We have never had this kind of quality service from the other builders we have built with in the past. I could brag all day. Jones has won us over from now into the future. Job well done! \r \r more

I HIGHLY recommend The Jones Company! Awesome builder!!! 12/10/2010

I bought a new home from The Jones Company in the Lakeside Meadows community in Mt. Juliet. I closed on my home 6 months ago and I can't stress enough how awesome of an experience it has been. The salespeople are very warm and caring and the company is highly organized in all aspects of homebuilding. \r \r It's great to know that there's a builder who does everything they say they are going to do and to handle their customers as if they were a close family member. I consider myself part of The Jones Company family, just because of the care they have taken in building my home...just the way I wanted it.\r \r From the get-go the sales manager listened to my every need and found the perfect plan on the perfect homesite for me. He helped talk me through which upgrades made the most sense for me and my lifestyle, and didn't try to sell me on every possible upgrade. In the end, the home is exactly what I wanted.\r \r I did alot of research on which builder I should have build my home for me and The Jones Company by far, offered the highest quality and the best value. I looked at Fox Ridge, but the difference in quality and what actually went into the home, from the inside out, was night and day. I also looked at all the other major builders...and even some custom builders, and The Jones Company was hands-down the highest quality and superior value.\r \r I am ecstatic about my new home and I love showing it off to all of my friends. I'm sure some of them will end up Jones homeowners. \r \r It's hard to put into words on a survey how excited you are about a builder, but I feel that strongly about The Jones Company. 10 years down the road, my next home will definitely be a Jones home. more

We love this builder! 12/7/2010

As professionals in the building industry, we didn't think we could be happy with someone else building our home. We were wrong! The Jones Company does a fabulous job through the whole process. Our new home is beautiful and we would definitely highly recommend. Please talk to The Jones Company before you decide on a builder; you won't be sorry.\r more

Excellent Experience 12/7/2010

We bought our NEW Jones Company of TN. home just over 4 years ago in McKay's Mill in Franklin TN. The sales process, construction experience, and warranty process has been INCREDIBLY smooth and a true pleasure. I have never had a negative interaction with this company or it's employees. I am proud to say I am a Jones Homeowner! more

The Jones Company is a GREAT home builder! 12/7/2010

The Jones Company, homebuilders based in Franklin, is a great homebuilder. Unfortunately, I think some of the reviews are mistakenly directed toward the wrong company. The Jones Co. of TN, LLC is NOT connected in any way to Centex or Pulte. They are a locally-owned homebuilder that has been in business since 1927. They have very high customer satisfaction ratings - usually between 97 - 100%. I suspect these Citysearch ratings have been placed by one bad apple who didn't get the answer they wanted. more

The Nightmare of Jones 8/25/2010

I agree that Jones is a horror. They quit taking my calls immediately. I have had to fix, at my expense, a terrible drainage problem due to poor site grading. I have now been thru my second plumbing leak nightmare due to improper plumbing at the time of building. The Jones attitude is haughty and the things they did deign to fix were done poorly and sloppily. I should have known at the final walk-thru when I was told I was not allowed to put any concerns or issues on the final document or I wouldn't be able to close! more

the jones company homes does have many names 3/6/2010

The Jones Company - House of Horrors - Part 1 Pros: less than zero, I know people that lost everything! Cons: lose everything you ever had! more

Jones Co Homes, One Star is one too many!!!!! 10/5/2008

I can not tell you where to buy a well constructed home but save yourselves and avoid jones. \r Hire an inspector! If the home is failed, walk away do not move forward with the closing, better to loose the deposit than 100's of thousands of dollars! and years off your life and the lives of those you love. TN Law requires that the owner of a home Disclose to a buyer all known deficiencies, leaks, etc. Good Law! Problem is Tennessee only requires that Law be on the citizens of Tennessee NOT the Corporate Builders, they can hide everything from the buyer! Once you close on a home and discover deficiencies, as our case against jones co., jones refused to repair the New Home to New Home expectations, i.e. No Leaks, etc.! You must force the builder to make repairs i.e. file in court, make the repairs yourself, disclose the leaks etc. (Good Luck getting Market Value after disclosure) so many folks keep their mouths shut, sell and run. Lets say you are forced to take the legal route to motivate the builder (they have so much money it goes on for years!), but you take the legal & moral route and repair the leaks etc. yourself, it costs several thousands of dollars to repair, but you make the repairs, now you can not afford the legal remedy, you drop the suit, the builder can and most probably will take legal action against you and receive a judgement against your family for all legal and professional costs, that's how it was explained to us. My advice, shop for a safe state to build a home, where protection of citizens is first. Disclosure should apply to Corporations as well! It is our hope that shining a light on this inequity between Corps and Citizens moves TN to hold Corps to at the very least a similar standard as folks. The Jones Company is a predatory corporation and knows well how to thrive in the opportunistic predatory environment of TN, predatory corporations are protected and families are to be preyed upon to feed the greed of Jones Company of Tennessee. Pros: Zero Cons: Deceptive company at best... you can assume the worst! more

Worst Home Builder You Could Choose 12/14/2006

If you are planning to build a home in a community, DO NOT USE THE JONES COMPANY. The Jones Company was recently purchased by Centex Homes and build in many locations across the U.S. We thought with the experience in the business and time spent trying to perfect their trade, they would know what they were doing. This is not the case. We ended up fighting our way through the homebuilding process to the point of being threatened by the Sales Director in the area. They told us there is no way of getting out of the contract we signed and legally they could bind us for the entire sum of the home. Unfortunately we continued on with the Jones Company building our home. Big Mistake. After closing and moving in, our cars do not fit in the garage, there are 18 steps just to get to the front porch, the garage is unfinished with exposed concrete walls, just a dissaster. Not only that, but the staff is not helpful and abandon you once the house is closed on. If you have thought about buying a home I would suggest to stay as far away from the Jones Company as possible, whether it is a new construction or a home that is already on the market. Pros: Taught me how to get angry frequently Cons: the entire building process and the outcome is a dissaster!!! more
