What can I say except this school has let us down completely! Children need structure and we've had 4 different teachers in our daughter's classroom and she's only been there 6mo...

We visited multiple daycare facility around Vinings area before coming to Goddard. After coming here there is no looking back. We immediately admitted our 20 month old son since we were very much satisfied with the infrastructure and environment Goddard offers. Teachers are very friendly and children were well looked upon. The classes are well maintained and very clean compared to other day care facilities I visited. I will definitely recommend this school! more

As the grandmother of a twenty month old child who has attended the Goddard School in Smyrna for just over a year, I very much recommend this school. When visiting Atlanta, I love to take her to school and am always greeted by the owner and friendly office staff. It is amazing what my grandchild learns each day including vocabulary, foreign language, sign language, manners and more. One recent improvement the school has implemented is to email out a daily record of each child's activities. My daughter forwards this email to me and I can share what was for lunch, what songs were learned, new signing and what she enjoyed. What a great way for me to feel involved. It's easy to see how happy she is at the Goddard School and why. more

The Goddard School Smyrna is a great school with great teachers. All 3 of my children have attended and they love it. They learn so much and feel so comfortable and loved. I have no concern that my child is receiving the best at this school because it shows everyday at home what they are learning and they talk so much about their teachers and friends. They are always excited about going to school and they enjoy the greetings that are received starting from the front office. more

The Goddard School Smyrna has been great my son has been going to this school since he was 2 months old and the teachers are great we love it here. He has moved up and now is in the Young Toddlers classroom. He has learned so much he is taking off his own jacket, signing and saying his alphabet and he's only a one year old, its such a caring enviroment. We love it here and we look forward to watching him move up to the other classrooms. more

My son has been going to Goddard Smyrna Location Infant room since 3 months now. As a first time mom i was extremely worried of sending him to day care so early (he was 3 months when we started him). But after taking tour of Goddard, i knew my son would be safe n happy here and i am glad i made the right choice. Its an excellent school, teachers are loving and caring.End of each day you get a detailed summary of your child's activities for that day including his feed, diapers etc. Staff is extremely helpful too. Owner is a very sweet lady & I am very pleased with my decision of sending him to Goddard. more

I do not recommend this school. It felt more like an overpriced daycare instead of a place where my child could really learn. My daughter went here for 10 months (age 2) and had 3 different teachers while she was there. They told us all of the teachers were degreed, but one of the replacement teachers was the person who previously prepared the lunches for the children and had only a high school diploma. The owner did not seem qualified to own a daycare and the director lied to parents about incidents at the school. There also didn't seem to be consistency in what was taught from classroom to classroom. Do not send your child here--it's very overpriced for what you get there. more

This is the worst school EVER! It is definitely an overpriced daycare center. The owner is very unprofessional and and standoffish. The high turnover rate is utterly ridiculous. I will NEVER recommend this school to anyone. Don't walk - RUN from this establishment. more

This school is definitely on its way up. I know there were a few ""kinks"" that always need to be worked out within the first few years of a business, but they are doing a great job! The admin staff is always there to help with any questions or concerns, and they always take action. Each teacher has a lot of experience and/or education in this field and they are implementing Great curriculum for my 2 year old. I would recommend going to the school and seeing it for yourself. You will know if it is the right place for you by the warm and inviting atmosphere.... more

Parents beware! 4/17/2012

What can I say except this school has let us down completely! Children need structure and we've had 4 different teachers in our daughter's classroom and she's only been there 6mos. There seems to also be problems with the office staff? New faces seem to appear quite frequently. I'm also not at all impressed with the owner. She's never on-site and when she is she's not friendly or welcoming. My recommendation is to go somewhere else as we're now trying to do. As soon as we find a better suited spot we'll be out of here in a flash and I promise you we won't look back! more

STAY AWAY! 4/17/2012

If you're looking for a day care/preschool or kindergarten location in the Smyrna/Vinings area STAY AWAY from The Goddard School in Smyrna on Log Cabin Drive. Our experience along with many others has been very unsatisfactory which has caused a good many of us to remove our children from the school. There's a very high turnover of teachers and administration and the owner is extremely unprofessional hence why so many of her staff has resigned and many continue to do so. The Goddard School in Smyrna does not match up to the The Goddard School reputation. Very disappointing and honestly I wouldn't give it any stars if that was an option. I hope I helped save you some time and agony of taking your child here. more

Love this school 3/21/2012

My child has attended this school since it opened. During this time he has truly enjoyed his teachers and has learned a tremendous amount. We have already signed up for next year! The staff is always professional and very receptive to questions or concerns. I have recommended this school several times to friends looking for a school rather than just another daycare. more

Excellent School with Great Teachers 3/21/2012

The Goddard School in Smyrna has provided wonderful care for our two children. The teachers are very good with the children and seem to know every kid in the school by name. The owner has always been very receptive and helpful whenever I have gone to her with questions, concerns, or requests, and if she sees a problem she acts quickly to address it. Most of the children in the school are very well-behaved, as the teachers do a good job of keeping the classes under control. I highly recommend the Goddard School to anyone looking for a superior daycare program for their children. more

Stay away! 3/15/2012

Such a big disappointment! Horrendous owner who will kick your child out if there's the slightest incident or put them on a 30day probation. Extremely unprofessional and unsympathetic to anyone's needs. High turnover of teachers and staff which is a red flag. Such a shame to have such a horribly run school in an area where it's needed most. But my two words are STAY AWAY! Schools, teachers and administrative will never be perfect but this school has completely failed in every way in my book. I'll save you some heartache and time so go somewhere else. more
