This probably the worst daycare you can take your children. At first they make you feel welcome and just want you to pay for extra services. Stay away from this daycare, the direc...

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! The staff is VERY unproffesional. They use bad language in front of the kids, Call them fat, and make sexual jokes. They are a sorry excuse for a daycare! The staff (mainly all women) act like high school girls. They gossip about parents, kids, co workers. If you choose this daycare please be aware of what really goes on behind closed doors. more

They treat their teachers horribly,I wanted to apply to\r work in there and was told not to apply. I bet is the worst\r center in Stone Oak to put your kids in or to work at,\r Besides, there are many nice centers out there that are \r cheaper and treat you better. more

Excellent care! 2/1/2012

We love our Children's Center friends! The staff is wonderful, facilities are clean, children are loved and prices are competitive. I spent a lot of time looking and felt an instant sense of peace when I walked in the door. I'm a military mom and the directors have gone out of their way to make it easy for me to do my job - as a mom and as an NCO. \r \r My baby was seeing a physical therapist who visited her at the center. The staff in her room watched the way the PT worked with baby and continued to encourage her in the days between visits. They even re-arranged the room to give her more opportunities to exercise without her even noticing she was doing it.\r \r I truly can't say enough good things about this center. I have six children ages 2-17 and this is by-far the best! more

Love this place like family...they are family!! :) 1/10/2012

Let me begin by saying that I've been bringing my 2 boys to this learning center for just over 5 years :) My first born started at 4 months old, and my 2nd was 8 weeks old. They are almost 5 and 3 now :) My five year old is in kindergarten, but now attends their after school program. I found this center just driving in Stone Oak, and while I was pregnant with my first one I decided to check a few out in the area. I visited with Rainbow Station, Primrose, Kids R Kids, and a couple others I can't remember. None of the others were terrible. But I had an instant connection with this place when I walked in and felt welcomed right away :) Miss Lisa (one of the directors) was the first person I met. Right away she showed me around, answered all my questions, and genuinely seemed to want me to stay. The other places I'd visited weren't nearly as warm or inviting.....they were very business like or ""snobby"", like I was just a number. After speaking to my husband, I went and put a deposit down the next day to hold my spot, as there was a waiting list. When it came time to bring my first born on his first day, as I started back to work, I was so nervous, anxious to leave him and frankly scared! I'd never left him with anyone else before. I was blessed with the two kindest women....one was Ms. Tracy, who is still there :) One of many who have been there as long, if not longer than I have been. She was a God send. She made me feel so comfortable leaving him. And I was welcomed to come anytime I felt like it to see how he was doing, or call. That was how I started. My boys have flourished under their care, and have had the best teachers, from some of the younger college age staff, to the more mature ""experienced"" staff. All have been a blessing to me and my boys. My oldest who is now in kindergarten, had Ms. Veronica, Ms. Anna, and Ms. Mary B.....wonderful, wonderful teachers. They had a HUGE part in my son's education. He's been selected for the Gifted and Talented program, and it's in large part to them....they truly ""teach"" these kids. And I thank GOD for Ms. Veronica for potty training him : ) :) :) Those ladies have been there as long as I've been there. Ms. Crystal and Ms. Sam come to mind when I think of my 3 year old. He absolutely adored Ms. Sam who is also still there and is gem! He now has a wonderful new teacher that is teaching him so well!! She has tought him table ettiquette and ""manners""....she's awesome! They have field trips, annual fall festivals, extra curricular things to sign up for, like dance, basketball, and tumblebus. They offer computer and spanish as well :) And their rates are very competitive for the area, if not a little better. I check periodically myself. Is this daycare perfect, no....but what daycare is? What school is for that matter? There are way too many pros that outway the cons, that really aren't worth mentioning. There is absolutely going to be some staff turnover from time to time...especially in this economy...and a few of the staff are college students as well, going into education. My boys come home happy....that's all that matters, and there's no doubt in my mind that my boys best interest is at heart!!! Oh, and I love how almost all of the staff know my boys....it feels like home :) Angela :) oh, I forgot to add, one of the neatest things they do is having a ""kinder readiness"" graduation in May....they actually have real caps and gowns and diplomas and a reception....definitely a memory I'll have forever :) more

The Absolute Worst! 12/23/2011

Do not send your kids here! The owners care more about making money than they do running a quality child care program. Just because it's located in Stone Oak doesn't mean it's not a dump. Their teachers are over-worked, underpaid and stressed out all the time because they put too many kids in one room. They keep children that clearly have behavioral problems that other centers would have kicked out without being willing to work on the behavioral problems hoping the child will ""outgrow"" it leaving the other children vulnerable to biting attacks and getting beat up on by a child who is out of control. And they wonder why they have such a high staff turnover rate. more

Exceptional Daycare Center! 11/21/2011

I needed full time infant care for my 6 month old daughter. After researching several different places I chose The Children's Center of Stone Oak. I was very impressed with my daughter's classroom. Every single day the teachers were the same, and my daughter really enjoyed the being around the other children. I felt like they did an excellent job watching over all the little ones, and I can honestly say I only heard crying on two occasions, which is outstanding for an infant room. The directors were also really flexible and understanding when I had to switch from full-time to part-time and let me do so without any prior notice to them. I can only speak on behalf of the infant room, but it was always very clean and organized. They kept a thorough record of all her feedings, changes, and side notes. My only complaints, and it could realistically happen at different facilities, is she was bit two days in a row by another child. I really wanted to write a review because of how important they were for me in making my child care choice. Ultimately, as a parent you should go with your gut feeling about a place, and for me it was the Children's Center at Stone Oak, and looking back I am very happy with my decision. This really is a nice facility and I would highly recommend it to others. more

Take My advice!!!!! 7/28/2011

Well I must say that with a few of my friends who have worked at this place and someone very close to me who used to work at this place, i can say this is the most unprofessional excuse for a daycare i have ever seen or taken my son to. The staff acts like they are in high school and my close friend has even witnessed one of the teachers hitting and dragging a student across the room. I would advise anyone who is looking for a daycare to look elsewhere if they value the health and well being of their kids. The staff does not follow directions. Even something as simple as putting on bug lotion seems to be too difficult for them to complete on a daily basis. Don't let the area that this so called business is located in fool you. The staff, yes even management should be reconsidered if the owners value staying in business. Note to owners: A little advice, I know of your recent money troubles and trouble paying staff. i would advise a restructuring of management which may save you money and actually keep the doors to your business open. Fact is that if you have seen what I have then you might wonder why in the world you considered these people of the right mind to watch your children. more

Can't say enough good things! 10/20/2010

My son, now 18 months old, has been going to the Children's Center since he was about 9 weeks old. It was the best decision I ever could have made. We absolutely LOVE this place. I can't say enough good things...I don't even know where to begin. \r \r I've always thought that it's just the right combination of the structure and discipline that children need, without sacrificing the fun and allowing kids to be kids. He learns a ton there...they do a fantastic job of introducing skills and concepts at just the right pace. I feel like he comes home doing something new every day.\r \r As a baby, I felt like he was given the same love and care that he would have received from his own grandmother. Ms. Caroline was with him on day one and was with him for quite some time. She was instrumental in his development as an infant. EVERY teacher he's had has been an absolute blessing and we love them all. The entire staff is the best - the owner, the directors, ladies who prepare the meals...EVERYONE!\r \r I feel like everyone in the place knows my child and is excited to see him each day. My little guy now squeals and claps when we pull into the parking lot each morning and I often have to drag him out in the afternoon...he just loves it there. \r \r If you're considering placing your infant at the Children's Center, you will not be disappointed. They will be in excellent hands and the Children's Center will do an outstanding job in fostering their development as they grow.\r \r I could go on, but you get the point. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!!! more

Highly Recommend 10/20/2010

I highly recommend The Children's Center of Stone Oak. I send my son and daughter there and they both love it. The staff is friendly, caring and great with the kids. \r \r They helped my son overcome some early delays and took extra time to nurture him. Mrs. Becky is a dream - and cares for her students like they were her own kids. \r \r My son is in Mrs. Victoria's class now and she's taught him how to drink from a real cup and is working on potty training. \r \r I love this place and am so happy that we found it. more

Fantastic Daycare Center 6/3/2010

It's difficult to find a center that cares for children as much as the Children Center does!!! My youngest child attended the after-school summer program, and absolutely loved it. It was difficult trying to get him to leave! Pros: This center is the only one I trust with my babies Cons: Absolutley None!!!! more

Highly Recommended 6/3/2010

My child attended this center for around 6 years. We consider the Children Center family, which is fitting consider the friendless and environment this daycare offers. Pros: Fantastic Center, Great Teachers, and Effective Program more

do not use 3/10/2010

Unfortunately, my experience and my child's was not a good one at this center. The teacher's were rude and impatient with my child. I also heard the teacher for room 8 yelling at the children. My child told me that her teacher was mean and very angry. more
