The Cheesecake Factory

My friends and I are DONE with The Cheesecake Factory at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, after a horrific Sunday brunch experience today that involved the slowest service of all time. The waiters didn't have enough common sense to achieve simple things like keeping our coffees filled or bussing our table when we're cramped with dirty dishes everywhere. We had to pull the manager over finally, because it took them OVER FORTY-FIVE MINUTES to get us our drinks. The food was average at best, and didn't all come out at once, and everything was overpriced, considering the lousy service & quality. You would think they'd get their act together, considering their high-traffic location (due to the theaters) & always crowded status, but they were clearly clueless. I wouldn't go so far as best restaurant in the valley...but their desserts are pretty incredible. I usually just get the avocado egg rolls so I know I'll have room for a hunk of that cheesecake. more

Great design, Great staff and atmosphere. As you walk in to this place, you can't help to notice the detail and effort in building this place. Staff is great, however do NOT go during peak hours. Service great off peak hours, absolutely horrible during peak hours. I didn't get my food comped after waiting two hours of waiting. Server ignored it and didn't even notify manager. Food is decadent and great portions. Pros: Great Place, Great Location, Food and Portions Cons: Inconsistent Service, LONG wait expected more

I've been here a couple of times. Like other Cheesecake Factory's, I found their wait times to be almost unbearable during busy times except that they're the only decent thing around. Their staff has been friendly at this location and there is free parking in the mall parking lot, though I'd prefer not to have to fight my way through hoardes of soccer moms in their oversized SUVs. more

Although you have to wait- sometimes for a very long time, this place is fun and has great food. Huge portions, good serivie and a Vegas-like atmosphere is the best way to decribe The Cheesecake Factory. I Have been going here for years and tried many many things on the menu. It may be a ""chain"" restaurant, but it is pretty darn good. The tex mex egg rolls are awesome as is the chicken maidera. Order anything that comes with their mashed potatos. we've had dinner here for years, and while the menu is mediocre and doesn't change much, they have some standard dishes that you know will ALWAYS be the same. this is probably the only place that i'll order chicken (since it's never one of my choices elsewhere), because the chicken madeira is that good. there's not much there that's good in terms of fish other than the angel hair pasta with shrimp. the pad thai is terrible. the lettuce wraps and crab cakes are always a good starter or meal in itself. the best part? the dessert of course. you can't go wrong with their plain or strawberry cheesecake and when in season, the pumpkin cheesecake is delicious. the wait is always an issue, since there isn't much going on in the valley that can handle big crowds. I love Cheesecake Factory. It's a place that I think everyone who lives in southern California has tried. My favorite dish there is the shrimp scampi. It's SO good. Other favorites are avocado eggrolls, luau salad, grilled shrimp & bacon club,... so good. try it. Pros: yummy food, worth the $$$ Cons: don't do reservations, waiting at some locat more

Great decor, but sometimes a bit loud, the Cheesecake Factory is always a great choice for lunch, dinner or just a slice of cake and coffee. For those that complain about the prices, take a look at the size of ALL of the portions. Almost always enough to take home for lunch. Service is usually top notch with a few rare exceptions.
