We made reservations the same night and surprisingly got in on a crowded rainy Friday night relatively quickly. If you want an ultra romantic atmosphere ask for the private rooms (that have 4 tables) off to the right side behind the hostess area. If you are a wine enthusiast, (we aren't), this is definitely the place to be! Our waitress was VERY knowledgeable and attentive and gave an extensive description of all the dishes and how they are prepared. We started with the Oyster platter and crab and lobster cakes - both EXCELLENT choices! The oysters especially were outstanding - clean, crisp bite a real 'taste of the sea'. For entrees I ordered the aged filet mignon on a bed of porcini mushrooms in a fig reduction, my boyfriend had the Kansas triple-aged porterhouse - both were juicy and flavorful. Oh, we also got the lobster mac and cheese as a side - to die for! My boyfriend's steak was slightly charred on the outside, upon mentioning this; our wait staff jumped right into action, and started a new steak. When the 2nd steak came out, so did Executive Chef Craig - who apologized profusely for the wait and comped our entrees AND gave us complimentary deserts to go! We were VERY impressed with the level of service we received at Capital Grille, we will definitely be returning both for the service and especially the food! And for such premium food the price was not a budget buster - $100-$160 for 2.
