The Cape

NO luxury apartments, low quality everything, cheap appliances, plastic countertops, vinyl floors. There is locked gates, but my motorcycle was stolen from my assigned spot, the motorcycle was locked and they just came in, picked it up and drove off, there is security cameras but they wont let you view it, I called the corporate office to make sure they keep the tapes of the night in question until the police can view them, but their more interested in privacy of the thieves than anything. This is a college place with units rented by the bedroom, seems to have a high turnover. Parties every weekend but they are, so far, respectful, and calm, maybe because its not in my building (yet)!,, courtesty security patrol', they say there is but i have yet to see them. I would NOT rent here!!! when my lease is up, i'm out of here, and where ever i go, if the management company is ARNEL, i will keep looking. more

Although the Cape is in a good location (across from Metro Pointe and close to South Coast Plaza) I highly recommend that you not rent here. The units are old and worse for wear. The high price of rent is only for the location, not the units or complex as there are few amenities. Also, parking is very difficult - which is especially concerning as the complex is clearly only half way occupied. The management provides extremely poor service and will lie and deceive you whenever convenient. Most importantly, they will take your entire security deposit, charging you for cleanings and upgrades that are illegal under California state law. There are many fantastic apartments in the same area - for your own good, I highly suggest looking elsewhere in the area.
