A nice boutique hotel in downtown San Diego. I really liked the lobby: it was spacious, open and warm with a red, white and black color scheme. Mirror more

Great Food & Service 11/1/2006

Friday night Seafoof Soiree is just to die for. Fish, shrimp, prime rib, lamb, crab, lobster and the list goes on. Very pleasent and very romantic atmosphere. Service was excellent and what you would expect in fine dinng resturant. Best deal for your dollar's worth $49.00 per person but well worth the price. All buffet style tables just filled with food in a very nice layout and just breath taking you have to see it for yourself. Oh don't forget desert the banana and fruit filled crepes are out of this world Pros: Well worth the price. more

The Bristol Hotel San Diego 11/5/2005

The Bristol Hotel is located in the heart of the Gaslamp District in downtown San Diego. The location is wonderful and the decor is great; modern art deco. The hotel features many famouse pieces form the art deco period including Andy Warhol and they have an art walk that you can take throught the hotel highlighting these pieces. The matienance however was bit lacking. From light bulbs being out in the bathroom to the carpet coming up a bit in the corner, they need to focus more on upkeep. Parking is valet only and $15 extra on top of your room rate. more

Good location 11/2/2005

The Bristol Hotel is all about location, location, location! It's right up the street from Horton Plaza and the Gaslamp District. This made it an attractive hotel choice during my last trip to San Diego. However, while I enjoyed the lobby, which was playful, I found a few things lacking. First, the shower lacks anything close to being called pressure. Upon our arrival we had to call the front desk because our shower featured no hot water. The TV speakers seemed blown and we had to turn the volume up to the max to get it above a whisper. The restaurant downstairs was a huge disappointment for breakfast. Bad service and the food was lacking. Location couldn't make up for the disappointments. more

The new Bristol has a contemporary ambiance that places it in the top tier of the city's hotels. The Bristol Experience promises comfort and friendly, efficient service. Located in the heart of the historic Gaslamp District, the Bristol share sidewalks with fine dining and world-class shopping. more
