service must really improve to make this place worth it! 11/17/2007

The food here is ok - not great and not bad. It is simply not worth the really awful service, however. I have never seen a more bored, callous group as the wait staff at this restaurant. You may ask for something but it takes several requests before the grudgingly get around to it. For instance, we asked for the spice condiment tray three times but never received it. Also, I ordered the small beer but the waitress brought me a large war club bottle. When I told her that I ordered the small beer she gruffly told ,me that she already opened this bottle and proceeded to leave it on the table! (She charged me for the large, too, by the way!) They really do not care - in fact they genuinely act as if you, the customer, is a great imposition on them. Pros: none noted Cons: service, wait staff attitude more

Avoid, unless you like throwing money away! 9/12/2007

This place is ridiculously priced, I just ordered the garlic prawns for lunch and made the mistake of ordering brown rice, well I got the order to go and it came to almost $16 for 1 dish!! The meal consisted of 6 prawns and 1/2 a container of brown rice for $16. The taste was ok but definitely not worth the price! I will never go here again! Pros: close to work Cons: price! more

Wonderful Phad Thai but BAD service!! 6/10/2007

This place has the best phad thai. But the service is terrible. They seem really annoyed when people come in and take forever to bring out dishes. Pros: Phad Thai Cons: SERVICE!! more

too costly 3/24/2007

we've been to Thai Ginger 10+ times over the years. Last two times we haven't been too impressed. Still decent food, but just not the ""great"" ""superb"" place it seemed like it used to be. Pros: drunken noodles are great. Cons: too costly more

Under cooked chicken!!!! 3/19/2007

The chicken in my pad thai was very undercooked!!!! They were not apologetic and very unhelpful. The wait staff was rude. getting sick is not what I ordered. more

Expensive Average Food with Poor Service 3/10/2007

My wife and I are huge fans of Thai food and have been known to drive across town for the right meal. We were very disappointed when we tried Thai Ginger (Factoria) while shopping in the area. For a menu averaging $10-$15 per entree (not to mention EXTRA $$$ for RICE! -- that's like charging extra for dinner rolls), we expected higher quality, quantity, and service. If you're not in a hurry, are dying for some Thai food, and just happen to be in the area then perhaps it'd be worth while to drop in. Otherwise, try Thai Thom in the U-District for reasonably-priced, authentic, and surprisingly good Thai food. Pros: one of the few Thai restaurants in Factoria. Cons: poor quality and service. small quantity. more

I do not recommend Take Out either. Their Food and service is AWFUL! 1/26/2007

I wouldn't recommend getting takeout from this place either. 2 out of the 3 times I've tried takeout have been disappointments and a waste of time. I'm not giving them anymore chances. Pros: If you work in Sterling Plaza I or II in Factoria, it's really close by. Cons: Bad food, Bad Service more

Worst place to EAT (REDMOND CENTER) and RUDE Service 12/10/2006

The waiters are RUDE and very kid unfriendly. I would not reccomend families to go here with Kids. If you are dissatisfied with the service you would not get a managers number or a manager to speak to. The waiters claim to be the managers. Take your chances and you will regret. They act like you are begging for food and it's a free service. Don't visit until they realize the basics of customer service. more

Worst Service Ever!!! 11/13/2006

I've been to this place a few times and every time i keep expecting the service to be better but it never is. I went there today just for a pick-up order and the lady was extreemely rude at the counter. The food is average but the service is what will keep me away in the future!!! Cons: POOR service, average food, no parking more

Food Tastes like a TV Dinner! Slow Service! 3/17/2006

The food was horrible. It tasted like it came out of a microwave. And the service was slow for no reason! They weren't even busy! I would never recommend the Thai Ginger! It's hard to get in and out of the parking lot. Pros: Good price Cons: Poor Parking, Poor food, Poor service more

Thai Ginger Won My Heart!!! 2/16/2006

This restaurant to me remains the best place to find amazing Thai cooking. I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times, and although the waiting area during busy hours could be much more effective, the food always makes up for previous inconveniences. What I would suggest is if you want to have the best experience possible, simply go at a later lunch time or earlier dinner time. I can guarantee that it would be well worth it. I would suggest the Phad Thai, Green Curry with chicken, Seafood Noodle Soup, or Garlic Prawns. If you're looking for an appetizer, then the Satay. Try out Thai Ginger!!!!! Pros: FOOD, atmosphere Cons: service on occasion, waiting area, parking more

One of the best in Bellevue 1/12/2006

Parking is the only thing that could be better at this restaurant. I love the Phad Siew and the garlic fried rice. In fact, my friends and I always order those dishes when we go there. The only drawback is that when it is busy, the waiting area (which is relatively non-existent) can be crowded and uncomfortable. Also, during high traffic times, parking can be difficult to find but there is a back way to connect to a business plaza parking. The food is always good and tasty. The service is generally on the ball unless they are crammed for tables..then you feel a bit like they are rushing you. Pros: inexpensive Cons: parking more

Not worth the time and money 10/23/2005

Service was very poor, spacing was horrible, food portions were very small, orders were not correct and everything is overpriced. I could get better thai food up the street for cheaper than this place. For 2 people I paid close to $40. I could have paid $15 and got better. I thought redmond was only bad.. but here too? And they had a very hard time seperating the checks.. thats not hard. Very poor indeed. Pros: ambiance Cons: prices, portions, taste more

User review by suzie5225 5/14/2005

The Issaquah location is the best! The crab fried rice (a special) was the best fried rice I've ever had! When you order 3 stars that is exactly what you get...never busy and easy parking! Pros: food, parking more

Don't go to Redmond location !! 7/30/2004

I visited couple locations of this restaurant. Factoria, Redmond, and Issaquah. I'd like to say ""Don't go to Redmond location !!"". I was there with my group of friends and we all could say that the manager there wouldl treat you like begging for free food !!! He has a pretty bad attitude !! The overall food and services are on par with Factoria. So better go to Factoria if you don't mind a pretty tight dining spot. Issaquah location is different as if it is not as busy as Redmond and Factoria. It is a good place if you want to sit down and relax but the only drawback is that the food is inconsistent. more

Too big for their britches 5/31/2003

This place USED TO BE good but ever since they started opening up other locations, the food and service have dramatically declined. I don't know if it is because they have more overhead or not but the portions have decreased by at least one third and prices have increased. I found MUCH better Thai food at Royal Orchid in Renton. more

yummy! 2/25/2003

So yes it's crowded on some nights. They are busy and I believe worth the wait. If you can't wait order some takeout and dine at home. We have tried just about everything on the menu and one thing that many places don't have is savory dishes with their own unique taste. Each entree has an individual taste-not all seasoned the same or slathered in the house sauce. yummy! more

Redmond location the best 12/14/2002

I would definitely have to say that the Redmond location is the best. The food at the Madison location is inconsistent....and that of Factoria sub-par to Redmond's. However Siam on Broadway is still my favorite Thai place. more

Do they even want to stay in business? 8/23/2002

My husband and I were hungry after seeing a 7:30 movie. We went into Thai Ginger at 9:40 to eat. Their posted hours of operation listed a closing time of 10:00 and we just wanted a quick dinner anyway. The hostess greeted us by saying that the kitchen would be closing in 20 minutes so she couldn't seat us but we could order something 'to go'. If the kitchen had time to cook us something 'to go' then they should have had time to cook us something to 'eat in'! This was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had in a restaurant. more
