I sat on my flooded car for quite some time, before calling the guys at Texon to see if they thought they could fix it. They took a look at it and gave me a price estimate and told me how long it would take. They found a replacement engine and I told them to go ahead and do it. They did the job in the time they said and now my car runs again. more

Only good things to say about Tex-On Motor Ctr. They are two for two with me. it's the second time they've installed a ""newer"" engine in trucks of mine. they both purr like kittens. more

Here's a tip about this company... If you are thinking about installing a rebuilt engine or transmission into your vehicle, check to see whether these guys can do it first. I saved myself a lot of time and surprisingly money by going here. I recommend these guys. more

my prized possession 4/19/2013

This place was top-notch. I purchased a classic car that I am working on in my free time--nights and weekends. I had started to work on re-doing the engine on the car. But then I brought it to these guys to see what they could do. They actually ended up replacing the engine at a price that I couldn't refuse. I'm glad I did. more

I was in the process of rebuilding my newly purchased vehicle. But I decided to not try to rebuild the engine myself. I brought it here. It turned out they did a better job than I would have done and for a legit price. Thanks, guys! more

Worst experience with a business of any sort let alone a automotive business.\r \r The worst customer service imaginable. \r \r I had my engine rebuilt, it took 2 weeks longer than promised, surcharged $800 over the agreed upon price, and my car didn't start a week after I took it home. Not to mention that it took me weeks to finally air out the smell of cigarette smoke and grease from my leather.\r \r The service rep. is rude and does not care about your car. \r \r If your car is important to you, find somewhere else to take it. more

Dissappointed 4/1/2009

I am very dissappointed with the service now. I paid alot of money to get my car fixed in November and now that I need the car checked they have no time. I wanted to bring my car in on 3/16 but they said they had no time to get it in the shop. I then had it towed there on 3/23 and as of right now 4/1 the car has not even been looked at. I guess for this shop being in business for over 70 years, customer service is still an issue Pros: Good warranty and quick turn-around time 1st time around Cons: To busy to check on cars under warranty more
