Had an off the rack suit jacket tailored. Needed the waist taken in and the sleeves shortened. Got it back in a week, and it looks great.

Best Tailor in Atlanta 6/19/2010

I had a few of my new suits altered in a shop near where I live. When I picked them up and tried, I simply felt uncomfortable and did not know why. My wife brought me to Terraces Alteration to have them re-altered. Jun was able to explain in detail the problems and got them done in one week. I am very happy with her work and strongly recommend this shop. Pros: very handy and professional more

Excellent work 1/24/2009

She did a wonderful job altering my bridesmaid's gown. The gown was very difficult to alter with the boning and the puddle train in the back, plus it was a size 12 when I normally wear a size 6 or 8 dress size. The dress was unwearable when I first got it, but when I got it back from Terrace's, it fit perfectly. She was extremely prompt, and did an impeccable job. She was very nice, and was able to communicate the essentials even though there was something of a language barrier. It cost $90 to alter, and when I winced at the price, she said it was a lot of work, and I consulted with someone else and they thought that was a pretty standard price for how much work needed to be done. I chose her based on the reviews I read on here, and I was very happy with my results. I will definitely take other things to be altered there in the future. Pros: Quality, Friendliness, Prompt more

Too good to be true 9/25/2008

I used to go to Vinings for alterations. Recently my friend referred this shop to me. To my surprise, the lady did a much better job and only charged me one-third of the price I would have to pay in Vinings for my wedding dress. I wish I had known this shop earlier! more

Best Service, great value for the price. 10/16/2007

A couple of months ago, we had our window curtains and valences designed and made by Terrace Alterations. These curtains and valences were customized for our home. (I wish I could post some pictures here, but I am not sure I can). We had consulted the lady, I think her name is Jun, before shopping for the fabrics, and eventually, we bought the fabrics we like from Jo~Ann Stores. \r \r To make the story short, anyway, Terrace Alterations designed and made all of the window curtains and valences in our house. I made the mounting wood boxes and installed the curtains. They look absolutely fabulous. The curtains with valence on both sides of the fireplace in the family room blend really well into the background wall, while the waterfall valences for the three bay windows in the living room are gorgeous looking with a rich color. It makes such a difference! The valences for the double French doors and the doulb window in the kitchen and breakfast area are simply beautiful. They match the color with the curtains in the family room, but are different, creating a smooth transition. Anyway, we like the new curtains very much. And best of all, the cost for all of these are only a fraction of the price you would pay from other specialty design providers. We love it.\r \r We strongly recommend the Terrace Alterations.\r \r James\r \r \r Pros: Great service, great price Cons: You need to speak slowly and explain what you need. more

affordable price and high quality 9/20/2007

I am a new college graduate and working in Marietta. My friend?s wedding is\r scheduled to be held in October. My bride?s mate dress has to be altered to fit\r my chest size. Due to my limited budget, I went to several alteration shops.\r This turned out to be really expensive. The lady whowns the Terrace\r Alterations is very nice. She understood my situation and gave me a\r discount. I am very thankful for her nice personality and artistic work, and recommend this shop for\r all your alterations. Pros: high quality more

best alterations 9/14/2007

I live on Terrell Mill Road and the Terrace Alterations is only about 2 miles away. We have been using this store for all our alteration needs, window treatments and sofa renewals for more than 15 years. The lady who owns this store is the third owner and I believe she is the best. I always leave my items and go, never worrying about the quality and price. more

Wonderful service and affordable prices 7/23/2007

The woman who owns this shop is wonderful. I had my wedding dress altered by Terrace Alterations. Prior to discovering this place I had gone to other shops who said that my alterations would take a long time and would cost a lot. Terrace Alterations finished my alterations in less than 2 weeks and for a fraction of the cost. She outlined exactly how much each alteration would cost and how long it would take. She was very professional, affordable, and reliable. I highly reccomend her for any of your alteration needs. I plan to go to her for everything. Pros: affordable, excellent service, quick turnarounds more

Quality, affordable alterations! 6/20/2007

I live in Midtown, but I used to work off Windy Hill, so I started using this shop due to a referral from someone else. I was more than pleased with everything I had done (jacket sleeves, bridesmaid dress, silk dress, hems for business suits and jeans). The work was performed on time and at a good price (cheaper than anywhere else I've gone in the city). The lady who works at the shop is so sweet, as well. My company relocated to Downtown, but if I ever have any alterations needs other than maybe hemming, I will most definitely take a trip up to Windy Hill! Pros: Price, Service, Quality, Friendliness Cons: I wish the shop was closer to me! more
