Reliable NYC Airport Pick-Up 7/26/2007

Dial 7 Car Service has been taking me to and from NYC airports for the past 7 years. I've always found them to be reliable and on time. Previous reviewers have commented about best routing and my experience is that Dial 7 drivers know the best way around the continual traffic that plagues access to JFK and the East River crossings. Rates are reasonable and are typical for NYC car services which do not include tolls or excess waiting time at the airports. more

Complete Rip-Off - Don't Use!! 12/5/2006

I used Dial 7 (used to be known as Tel Aviv) based on recommendations from this forum when I was there on my last trip. Big mistake! They charged me a "peak time period" rate, and a "waiting charge" (even though I was there on time and the driver was late, and didn't know how to use his Nextel phone to call me and tell me where he was). They were rude on the phone when booking the trip and wouldn't consider reversing any of the charges. The trip they quote as $45 turned out to be $75. What a huge rip-off! Also, contrary to other reviews posted here, the driver did not have an EZ Pass. It took forever to get to the airport. I don't know a whole lot about NYC driving, but I doubt that the roundabout route the driver took was a very efficient way to get to the airport - it certainly took forever and didn't seem to avoid any traffic. But like I said, it was his first day. more

Reliable 5/21/2006

To me, Tel Aviv and Carmel are interchangeable car services in terms of quality and price. This is a good thing, as on occassion, one or the other won't have any cars available for your airport trip. Always call a couple of days in advance, but if they say they can get you a car, it's always on time (and often early). more

Fine and Dandy and has EZPass 1/11/2006

I hate waiting in lines for tolls going to the airport. All Dial 7 cars have EZ Pass and so zip right through. Come on time and charge what they say they will. more

best way to get to the airport 10/27/2005

this is always a convenient, timely, safe, and courteous ride. only once did we try to take a regular cab to get to the airport in manhattan, and boy was it a disaster. from then on we've always called to arrange a tel aviv cab ahead of time and they are amazingly always on time both to pick up and to get you there - traffic or no traffic. the drivers are much more normal/relaxed/capable than the regular new york cabbies, at least in terms of avoiding near death experiences, and the cars are clean and comfortable when you're stressed about the traveling itself (i always am). more

Tel Aviv -- car service 9/3/2005

There are so many car service companies to choose from in New York City. We've used Tel Aviv several times and have never had any problems with them -- they have always been very reliable. We generally use them to take us to one of the airports. It's nice to be able to call ahead and have a car all set up and not have to worry about hailing a cab -- and the prices are competative. more

All 7's 8/21/2005

I've used this service numerous times. It's about what you expect from a limo service in the New York area. A towncar of varying quality, late model, old school. Typically clean, often smelling of leather and incense with some sort of thing dangling from the miror. The drivers were always courteous, knowledgable, and typically early which is a nice bonus when you are traveling to the airport. The best part about the tel aviv car company is that you will never forget the number even when you are on the red-eye back to the city and stumble in at 6am. more

not good or bad 8/21/2005

Tel Aviv is fine. That’s it. Don’t expect a lot. They’re usually on time and get you where you want to go. I’ve never had huge problems but I’ve never had a great experience. Basically, I use them or Carmel because they’re cheap. Don’t forget to get one of those coupons that comes in the mail. P.S. There’s another good review about airport pick-ups. more

Decent car service compared to the others 8/19/2005

Tel-Aviv is one of those services you see advertised but think you'll never use. But the day will come when you can't get a ride to the airport and/or a cab just won't do. I'd recommend calling Tel-Aviv. They are helpful and honest about their prices. Look for coupons, they usually offer a discount to and from the airport. They are reliable and thus far, they haven't disappointed. The cars are clean, usually black sedans, but you can ask for a larger car and they'll provide it for more money, of course. more

Car Service 8/19/2005

Tel-Aviv is a good car service company if ever you find yourself in need and can't get a hold of a taxi. The people are friendly and the usually provide fast service. I would sugguest when you call to always ask for pricing first so that there is no agruments laters. They are not overly pricey and are convent when you can't flag down a taxi. more

Decent Limo Service 8/5/2005

Unlike Crown Limo this place gave me a reasonable quote and not a fake one. Their prices are decent, and it seems that have a good range of the types of limos available. Their drivers do a good job and some times get you there fast, other times are slow and rude. more

Decent Airport Service 8/4/2005

Here's the first and most important thing: if you're looking for a car service that meets you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it, this isn't them. Tel Aviv operates like this: when you land, and after you get your bags, you call them, and they send a car. They often have cars in the area, circling nearby, ready to pick you up - but traffic in the airports are terrible, so there is often a wait. You have to bring all your bags to the curb outside the terminal and wait there. However, if you are willing to do that, they have decent prices and most of their drivers are decent - but not all of them. One of their drivers did get WAY lost on my once. more
