Not too shabby 2/20/2006

Location is not too good if you live in eastern burbs Other than that the area where it is located is nice. Service is slow (on a quiet sunday). Food is amazing (spicy perfection) but prices are high. So high prices take overall value down a bit. Good 'once in a while spot' but not a 'regular joint' cuz of prices. (havent tried their buffet yet). Try Hongkong noodle in dinkytown for best bang for buck. Pros: Food, Food, Ambience Cons: Sloe Service, Prices, Prices more

To die for 9/14/2005

Their ""dancing fish"" - fillets of fish in a hot chili oil, ask for extra spicy if you really like the heat, and sauteed lotus root is worth a trip to the 'burbs... Pros: Yummy, Inexpensive, Attentive Cons: Strip Mall more

Deliciously Kitschy 6/28/2004

If you like kitschy oriental restaurant decor and great oriental food, you'll love this place! They serve generous portions at reasonable prices. Unless you're really hungry, you'll probably have enough for lunch the next day. Everything we had was delicious and well prepared. Pros: Delicious Food, Generous Portions more

Disappointed... 11/29/2003

After a consensus of my Chinese friends told me that this was Twins Cities' best authentic Chinese food, I was actually rather disappointed. The food was not especially good, and their selection of Chinese vegetables was terrible. In fact, the Chinese waiter didn't even know what jielan (gailan) or caixin (choisum) were. I ordered Sichuan standards like ShuiZhuYu (Water boiled fish?), but they couldn't compare with similar Sichuan dishes I'd had in Salt Lake City or Las Vegas, let alone Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, or Beijing. The prices were rather high for the quality of food (though, from a quantitity standpoint, the dishes were admittedly large--the problem is no one want to take home disappointing food). Pros: Authentic Cons: Poor flavor, Poor value, Distance more

My favorite chinese food restaurant... 12/14/2002

I've been to this restaurant 6 times and never been disappointed. The food was excellent (I forgot what they're called on the menu.. spicy-salty fried chicken, spicy beef hotpot.. my favorites). The service was excellent, too. They're fast, prompt, and polite. I also love the ambience. I highly recommend this restaurant to all Chinese food lovers. Pros: Excellent food, Fast, prompt service, Great ambience more
